Hey, not sure where to post this, so I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.'

I have a few questions regarding the form and would appreciate any help I can get.

1-I have a birth certificate for my fiancee and it doesnt have a last name listed because in our country, Afghanistan, we dont really have last names, we just have a first name and on the birth certificate it lists her first name, fathers name, and grandfathers name. In our culture we use the grandfathers name as the family name. So i was wondering if I have to leave the last name part blank or can I use her family name?

2- Another thing in our country is that most adresses there dont have any house numbers listed for the adress, but just like street name and county. So should I just put down the street name for her house as the adress? Will there be any conflicts with that later on?

3-Also I'm not sure what US embassy I have to list as the one she can go to, I searched google and found that the US embassy in Afghanistan is in Kabul. But I have read around the forum that the US embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan is the one where they go for interviews and processing. The problem here is that on the I-129F help document from the USCIS website states that US embassy they need to go must be in the country that they are a citizen of. So I'm not sure which one to list.

Thanks in advance

Her birth certificate is not needed for the I-129f. List her name as she normally would in her country. If her grandfather's name would normally be used for her family name, then do that

List the address exactly as you would if sending her a letter within the country. Very many countries do not have an address system like the USA, nothing unusual here.

The petition will be sent to the proper consulate. If you are unsure, leave it blank. It is not true that they must go to the embassy of the country where they are a citizen. Mnay countries do not have consulates that issue K visas. Moldova uses Romania, for example. Ukraine used to use Poland until Ukraine had its own consulate. If unsure, leave it blank and you will be notified by NVC where it is sent. You have no choice in where you will go for an interview

Well in my country they normally just list the first name and write down that they are daughter of *fathers first name* and thats its. Her first name is whats listed on her birth certificate and also her passport. So should i just leave the last name part empty or just go ahead and use the family name

I would never suggest leaving anything empty or blank. Perhaps putting her family name for last name might be applicable here

Good luck.
