after arival in the US, other then the obvious (marriage), what forms are needed to be submited

I485

I765

I131

I751 What is the purpose of this form?

N400

Is the I131 only for travel prior to achieving permanent residence status?

Check out the guides at the top of VJ. Your going to do the adjustment of status so that is the I485. Do the EAD at the same time to save some $. That is the I765. You may want to also fill out the I-131 so your then wife can travel back to Philippines in case of any family emergencies.

ok thanks so much, i thought maybe also file the I765. So if she wants to work she can. It appears you have been thru this, did you file for SSN before or after the marriage

There is a difference between the K1 and K3. With K1 you can apply before. With K3 we are married before she arrives in the US and we could not apply for the SSN until we had an approved EAD.
