“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

There is actually a VJer who is affected by this - the visa was just issued then the the flight to the US was cancelled: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/252355-is-the-volcano-affecting-you/ :(

There's someone in the AP tracker thread whose wife has been in AP for four months...she picked up her passport from the embassy, visa included, on Thursday and they immediately bought a ticket for her to fly out and hours later the flight was cancelled!! So close, yet so far...

That's just seriously cruel. My husband has told me he will swim if he has to, which is cute, but not very realistic. I'm really uncomfortable knowing that we are incapable of reaching each other if there's an emergency.

Hi Everyone

The USCIS has decided that we have been good and furnished us with an update today 19th April 2010 :wow:

So the highlights of todays update is:

4 Cases added to the "Pending" pile making a total of 19 UK cases in total now !!

6 Cases added to the "Under Review" pile from the Pending pile, this brings the total UK based Under Review cases to a massive total of 11

1 Case was removed from the list, this may be completed but they failed to tell us or it was cancelled, anyway the case was Under Review and then disappeared

Well this was a mixed bag update, many people will have enjoyed being added and moved from Pending to Under Review at last, however there was NONE COMPLETED :crying: but as they now have so many Under Review they must start to complete some soon... hopefully by this Friday (23/04/2010) I hope, this is my prediction anyway.

As usual you can see these changes in my updated spreadsheet here > I-601 Status Update Spreadsheet 19th April 2010

Well done and congratulations to JustJ who was one of those cases that went from Pending to Under Review

Well my Website monitoring software worked well, it enabled me to be the first to announce the update and work on the spreadsheet far earlier with my Wife Traci.

Wishing you all the best on the next update.

Take care all..

Andrew

Thanks, C2C! I am not sure how to handle my nerves now. Perhaps Andrew & Traci can give me some advice on that!

C2C, have you had any news on your end?

Hi JustJ,

I was so happy to see you under review - had to keep asking Andrew when we were updating the spreadsheet "Now you're sure - no other Dublin's" !!!

Only advice I can give you is just stay positive - Keep your hopes up that you will not be under review long, but don't get disappointed if it doesn't happen as soon as you are anticipating. Just keep reminding yourself that your file is finally on someone's desk physically being looked at!! Lots of cases under review so I will be keeping my eagle-eyes on the updates for any movement so the Spread Sheet King can get the news out to you!!! :D

C2C - thinking about you also - any news????

Hi Guys, No more news yet, its been five months since my interview  I try not to think in those terms but suddenly it hits you some days.. well, all any of us can do is wait and get through the days as best we can and I'm sure that this is just an anomaly and not typical of what you can all expect, so dont get disheartened and I will let you know as soon as I hear anything

Hi again, Actually I meant to write that I have had no good news yet, but some news : my file has not been lost, forgotten or mislaid but it would appear that it has to go through some more decision making processes - God knows why, but who are we to question it ? Its only our lives on the line, Well onwards and upwards Guys, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger right :hehe:
