Funny thing is, Slim.... we aren't just the same age... we are two days apart...

There you go! With a case like yours, they probably won't even look at your evidence at all. They'll maybe review the photos while they chat with her at the interview, but it won't be like someone's looking through your call logs, texts, chat sessions, printouts, birthday cards, receipts, letters of intent, mom's recommendation, etc. You have more than enough "circumstantial evidence" to carry you through.

I think that nobody can tell you, unless you take the test.

Well, it's going to remain a mystery for me then.

and lots of yahoo and real phone calls. to prove you are still committed

lots of proof.

Yeah... I'm a little bit concerned with the proof of ongoing relationship. We use a phone calling program that doesn't really LOG phone calls. We don't e-mail each other, we use google talk, so we just send each other offline messages, 99% of which probably carry no weight if I print them out and show at the consulate (you know, like "I love you" - "I love you too" - "How was your day, how was work" etc).

The only thing that I could muster was the text messaging history. We text each other couple of times a day. We also attached affidavits from all the parents and relatives we visited and stayed at, along with the regular stuff, like boarding passes, hotel receipts, museum tickets, train tickets, etc.

We don't have many photos together (about 20-25), but some of them are in front of the landmarks that can't be mistaken (Amsterdam, Jerusalem - Yeah, I never went back to Ukraine, since I know her parents, there's no need for me to meet them).

Just crossing fingers that all of that is enough. That is why I am planning to be at her Kiev interview when we get there.

Oh, and she has a ring too. I know it's kind of an icing on a cake... but hope it helps too

Second what mox said, They want to see that you have 1) met during the past two years, and 2) intend to marry within 90 days. No sweat.

I checked the USCIS website 2-3 time a day for the entire duration of that wait; despite knowing the general length of the process. Furthermore, I received the packet in the mail before the website was ever updated. So all that website did was add to my neurosis. :)

The time after NOA2 has been a blur. Once NOA2 arrived it went from "she'll be approved sometime in the next few weeks or months, I can clean the house whenever" to "oh ####### she will be here in under 2 months, can I burn down the house and start over?".

Enjoy your time here, it really does go quicker than you think. It feels like last week that I went to Russia to visit Katya, but it's been 7 months. Freaking crazy how time flies.

Finally A POST I CAN RELATE TOO!!!!!!!!! Cept i checked website 2 to 3 times per hour! (I work IT) I was in Ukraine ( Last week) actually June. Now Pre arrival Jitters!! Maybe I can sell and find different house before she gets here!!

Still, even though it will suck financially, I am planning to be there at her interview. I know the allow USC to be there in Kiev. Maybe if they see us together and see how we look at each other and behave... maybe there won't be any doubt :-P

We found the interview itself was easy, and took five or ten minutes. More questions about the visas and stamps in my passport than anything. Getting to the interview window was the frustrating part. IMO it is a good idea to go if you can, although (because I can hear the chorus tuning up) it isn't necessary.

I mostly want to be there because I have not come to visit her in Ukraine, we ended up meeting on a neutral territory twice, so CO might have a question about that. If I am present, it might go a little easier. But that is ways away. Let's wait for the NOA1 first :)

Whoa...a daytime Slim sighting?!?! This is like spotting Sasquatch catching a cab at noon downtown! :)

I've had a little more free time lately, and almost all of that has been spent here on VJ.

Well, it's going to remain a mystery for me then.

INTJ - Rational Mastermind.... Now that's funny!

What I really like about those tests is they ask the questions in such a vague way you could answer either way and still be sticking to your values. Also, those are situational questions where one person may do one thing in one situation but entirely the opposite in another. It irks me when my wife has to fill those out before applying somewhere like Hooters. Does it really matter which personality type she has as long as she has a big smile?

Yep! Now you're out of pre-season waiting, and into league play waiting. :D

The way my good friend put it, now you can start playing an "INS Newlywed Game" :)

Crossing fingers that she can be here as soon as humanly possible :)
