Hi guys,

We just got our letter in the mail with our interview date for next Thursday (finally!!!). We're booking the flight for Vancouver and we were wondering how quickly after the interview do we get the K1 visa (if approved of course). I've read in a couple different areas that people go into their interview, and then go down to the Vancouver Consulate 2 days later to pick up their visa. Is this true? If so, what are the chances of having our interview on Thursday and getting the visa by Saturday? Can anyone help me out and give me a timeframe of your experiences? Thanks!

While most visas are ready for pick up within two days following the interview for all eligible visa applicants, for residents of Canada, we strongly encourage the use of a Canada Post Express Post envelope for the return of the passport(s). A small Express Post envelope must be purchased for use within British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. For all other provinces, you must purchase a National Express Post envelope.

That is from the Vancouver consulate website

Dont' book your flight until after the visa is in hand

Good luck.
