Hello VJ family members,

It has been about a month since I have last posted anything on the website. I have been trying to be patient with the NVC but wonder if perhaps I should maybe start a daily calling process to see if this jump starts my case again. Since my package went out during the Thanksgiving holiday, I thought maybe they will not touch it until after they come back from the holiday break. Now into the first week in December, when I have called the automated system still does not show my DS-230 as being touched. What should I do? Is there anything I can do? I know that basically I am at their mercy...

Once the case closes with the NVC, I've read from VJ friends that their cases went through the interview process at the CAIRO consulate and to this date, they have not heard anything final on that end. They are still waiting to hear if their papers have arrived from the NVC or that the AP, has just finished but not answer on when his passport will be stamped with his visa...This is driving me crazy now! I know that I have only been in the process since August 2009 and that my case has been moving along pretty quickly...but I just can't help but to vent a little.

Thanks for listening.

Hey Lizz. I think it a few weeks for me also before it was accepted also. Have you called NVC to see if they have received it? Sometimes the AVR system does not update that quickly and more information can be found out by talking to someone there directly. About the cases arriving to the Embassy from NVC. Sometimes it takes awhile for some cases to arrive there and for others sometimes it arrives in time for the interview. Our interview was on Nov 9th and the package did not arrive until one week later. Either way dont be so worried. Isa you will hear case complete this week and be scheduled for a Jan interview.

"Shokran"...Thank you so much Nancy. I have called twice but nothing in system yet. I will try to be more patient. I am just worried that with Christmas around the corner, people's last concern will be our cases and that they will just sit there "untouched" until the holidays pass...I know, I'm being paranoid. :innocent:

Thanks again Nancy. Nothing new for you yet???

No the NVC is pretty good about finishing everything up and I think they are only closed for a couple of days max for the Christmas holiday. Isa I promise you will hear something soon. Have you been trying to login to the payment center to see if you can still login or if it gives you the "login failed" message. As for me, no news yet except that the package did arrive and now they are reviewing the case. Take care!!

"Alhamdilullah". Happy to hear that they have received your package. As for me login in to the payment center, no I have not tried that. I was just calling them and with my express u.s. mail confirmation, I knew they did received it...my concern is that they have not touched it...Take care Nancy. You are so close...

Try logging in and see what happens. If it says login failed then you will be getting a case complete in a day or two. And they dont schedule the January interviews until the second week of December so you probably have a good chance of getting a January interview isa. Im sure they have received it. There is no doubt about that, but it takes about 2 weeks for them to go through all the documents to make sure there are no mistakes. Isa you wont get any RFEs and will be counting down the days until your interview soon. Take care and keep me updated on what happens!!!
