IV procedures; paid fee, what now?

I've paid the IV fee so now I have to send out the package. I filled out the DS-230, but I want to make sure I include the right forms and documents.

What documents are needed and which ones need to be originals?

After the NVC receives this package, do they send it to the embassy for the interview?

Does my wife need similar documents or should they all arrive in the package when she goes to the embassy?

I don't know how she can have a duplicate package if they want originals sent in...not too comfortable with that either.

Please let me know what I need to include in the package apart from the DS-230 form and the paid cover sheet. I've been searching the forum, but haven't found anything to completely clarify this for me

Thanks

Below are the package contents:

A little more information:

The cover page listed from VisaJourney specifies the following documents:

Please find enclosed the following documents:

1. Bar-coded cover sheet

2. 2 Passport-sized photographs of the beneficiary

3. Completed and signed form DS-230, Part 1, by the beneficiary

4. Completed and unsigned form DS-230, Part 2

5. Photocopy of the biographic data page of the beneficiary's passport

6. Certified birth certificate of the beneficiary

7. Certified marriage certificate of the beneficiary and the petitioner

8. Original police certificate(s) of the beneficiary

Also enclosed are photocopies of the following documents:

1. Photocopy of the biographic data page of the beneficiary's passport

2. Certified birth certificate of the beneficiary

3. Certified marriage certificate of the beneficiary and the petitioner

4. Original police certificate(s) of the beneficiary

It lists birth certificate and marriage certificate under documents and then under photocopies, so do they need originals and photocopies?

Also, it lists police certificate and photocopy, but my wife said that the certificate she sent me in an envelope cannot be opened by me. So, I guess I have to just send them the envelope with the package and it will make its way to the interview?

Ehhh...no wonder people come to America illegally; the legal immigration process is insane..hehe

Thanks for the reply

So the birth certificate and marriage certificate have to be originals? what good are the two copies of the package then; if they lose it, I don't have originals in the two copies.

Also, I was told I can't open the police certificate envelope, so I can't make copies.
