That's fantastic; we have something here called a timeline and it would be useful to put in the dates (as well as you know) for every step of your visa journey.

that way your friends can know the progression of the events.

Also, the timeline contains a link to insert a "Consulate Review" of the interview day.

I filed I 130 in august and mid september it was approved . I think when i got approval for I-130 they sent me packet 3 from which i mailed them DS forms as per the request.. Then in October we recieved the interview letter along with packet 4 . His interview was on Nov 12th.. The lady was super nice she asked my husband our marriage date then asked how did we meet and thats all.. She didn't ask for any evidence.. May be because we studied together in the same college and I was present with him during the interview.. And also living with my in laws..

Thanks very much for the info. We are in exactly the same situation as yours as I am living with my in-laws here in India.

Did they actually allow you into the Delhi embassy to attend the interview with your husband? Because according to their website they don't allow relatives inside, only the applicant. What did you tell the guard outside to be allowed in? Did the CO talk to you at all?

Also can you please tell us whether you used your own income to sponsor your husband or did you have a joint sponsor (for the I-134)?

They allowed me in because i had US Passport with me and also i am the sponsor.. U need ur US passport to get in.. She just asked how we met and i told her that we studied in the same college.. I am not working so i showed my moms taxes.. I showed mine as well because i ve some money saved up in US bank and i was paying taxes for that money so i was too filing taxes but the amount was not enough to cover my husband so i showed my mom as a joint sponsor..
