Hello

we have been told to send in all civil documents now

im getting kinda of scared about interview which we dont even have a date for and will be in MONTREAL not sure how back logged they are.

i read lots of forms about people having proof with them

please if anyone can write me and tell me what i should all have in a package for proof.

i would be so greatful

i can start to gather that info before my interview

also anyone know what i should expect to be asked at interview as well as my children age 15 and 8

my children are my husbands step children

any info people can offer i am accepting as this has been a very long and hard process

also i really dont know how to make timeline

Hi - the current wait time for an interview in Montreal (after completion at NVC) is around 160 days - or 5 plus months. You can view the Montreal timeline to interview thread in the Canada forum here

You basically need proof that you have an ongoing relationship. Most of the stuff you have been reading probably applies to K visas, not CR1/IR1 - they are fiance(e) visas and the same thing does not really apply here. You will want to bring some proof though, do you have a joint bank account, any other joint accounts? A couple of pictures together?

They will probably ask you general things, like how did you meet, why did you decide to get married etc etc.

To add your timeline so people can view it, just click on the My Assistant link in the top right hand side of this page. Then click on Add/Edit my timeline from the menu that pops up. The my assistant tool is also really helpful for other things, like finding your last 10 posts.

wow after it sent from nvc to montreal is another 5 months before interview date

my lord that is along time to wait to be with my husband

i have loads of pics and travel tickets as well as phone records and yes we have a joint bank account

i met my husband on the internet sept 08 and he asked me to marry him dec 09 christmas day

we got engaged then and spare of moment decided to get married feb 23 his birthday had some his family there but because it not a planned date few people there

would this cause a problem for my interview

i travel back to usa about every 4 to 6 weeks trying to make this time fly

how do you know if they accept the affidavit of support

we had to send in correction on I864 due to miss informed from NVC

we now have sent in corrections they asked for on check list

was told we could use same AOS for my children but turns out because we all have our own I130 we all need own documents. NVC told us to just photo copy NOT TRUE

caused us to have to re submit I864 for my self and my two children (husbands 2 step children)

and sending in the ds230 forms and all civil documents via courier

because i was waiting for a ltter to do this but just was told i should have sent in already

this is a very confusing process and long

Yes it's very long and can be confusing. The only way you will know if they accepted your I-864 is if your case gets a case complete at NVC or they send you another RFE.

And no, a big wedding/small wedding, doesn't matter.
