to add to the stress....lol...has anyone changed there adress?

OK to add to my real stressful week I got the call while I was driving home from my management company that the owners are selling my house and are not renewing my lease!!!! I am so close to getting the aos2 now really comfused what to do....I know it will not be hard to find another house but I dont want to put in change of adress forms in right when everything is about to happen in the next 2 months!!!!......I have to be out by january 15th....What should I do?

I would put in the change of address forms and give the post office a forwarding address so there isnt any big delay in your case. That sucks that the owner's of your house doing that with very little notice. Looks like you will be busy packing and moving. At least it will help the time go a little faster.

yeah it will but I have a lot to think of now what area ? do I stay in the same area so I dont have to change the kids school ? But now when will i get mt deposits back because I planned on going to the interview with Pam but the money I have been saving for everything from my tickets to the her plane ticket, and all the fees for everything for st lukes and such......I really dont want to have to delay it even 1 day if i dont have to

Yeah i understand on how you dont want delays...no one does.....but life always throws you a curveball. You could talk to your landlord and see if you can get your deposits back quick since they didnt give you much notice. they must have a buyer already because the housing market isnt that good right now. How does you lease read for deposit returns and notice to move out?

Might be able to get a hold at post-office... Or do what I did when I moved back to the USA... Got a PO BOX and used that address until I found a house. Or,,, possible use a friends address.

Problem with using the Post Office mail forwarding... Sometimes,,, they still deliver to the old address. And, you certainly do not want immigration papers getting mis-directed.

yeah must...the person must already be approved for the loan. I know it took me nearly 2 months to get my loan approved all the way when i bought my house. Oh, and the PO box thing would probably be good cheap insurance to receive your mail. I have one too and send most my important stuff sent there instead of my mailbox down the street from my house.

We changed address before NOA2 arrived but did not encounter any problem. Although we changed it like 2 months before august when noa2 arrived in his new address.

so i can change it to a po box? is that ok for the adress dont they need your physical adress for the poa?

I believe you are most concerned with receiving your mail at this point right? You can do it online...just check it out here and see. I am pretty sure you can change your physical address later. https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa

The big thing at this point is that you can receive mail from them. I dont think they care about your physical address. You can update that when you do the 156 & 157 forms later

Also keep your email address current so you can get the email notice.

That would alert you to when you might be getting the hard copy in the mail.

And, yes, I know that sometimes they never send an email but its better to keep all options up and working.

Even filing the CoA forms with the government does not always mean that they send your NOA to the new address.

I am not sure if the government form has the Do Not Forward tag on it or not....
