Hello everyone,

I'm just wondering what originals the embassy will need exactly need? Do they need our original NOA2, our original letters, and cards?

Also, I've been wondering if they will keep all the proof and documents I give them? If so, should I just make copies of the things I went to keep for ourselves...

Thanks in advance! :star:

Aya

I would bring the originals and make copies of everything too. I don't think they will keep your originals, they could keep your copies. I think the only originals they will keep and that would be the forms that you filled out for them. I can't remember if they kept any documents of my husbands. Good luck at the interview.

Thank you, Maureen!

I already made copies of all packet 3 content...I think I will make copies of everything just in case, but I still need to know what exactly they need.

Your birth certificate .

Your passport .

The interview letter '' they wont let you in if you don't show it to the guard at the embassy ''

If your fiance was married before they might ask for his divorce certificate '' the original '' .

Take all the proof of your relationship maybe they might ask to see some of them or maybe they wont even ask for any .it depends on the CO .

Good luck and my best wishes for you .

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

my husband took the required originals (his birth certificate, military stuff, all the things they list on the letter) as well as the original of our Arabic marriage certificate. You won't have to deal with the marriage certificate stuff yet, I guess, since you're K1... I do remember them saying that you don't have to have a translation of documents as long as the original is in the native language of the country you are interviewing in, so if your docs are in Arabic, they don't have to be translated. He also took lots of photos (which was what our interviewer was interested in the most), a letter my mom wrote him, a picture my daughter drew him, and photocopies of my passport that showed entry/exit stamps for my visits to Egypt, as well as the itinerary for our then-upcoming trip over the summer. The interviewer was very focused on the family aspect of it-- me interacting with his family, my family knowing about and interacting with him, and the amount of time we spent together (which at that point was about 1.5 months)

Thank you everyone for your replies! :)

I guess it's up to us then whether to photocopy our letters or bring the originals with me to the interview... I hope they don't keep the originals if I bring them though..

they didn't keep anything at ahmed's interview.

ETA: Ok, just spoke with Ahmed, he says they kept the copy of his birth certificate and his criminal record report.
