Well Nigel held the info from me all day......I called the DOS this morning and those dang ladies said, no visa yet, then he tells me he got the SMS today and he forwarded it to me, plus it shows up on the website....VISA tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Gosh, that sure took a while. The embassy almost seem to be on a go-slow at the moment. Still, glad to hear visa is now (almost!) in hand!

They had to submit additional paperwork to have the visa finalised. I think it was 6-7 working days after they sent in the paperwork that the visa was received... Right, Allie?

Yes, they notated our info Nov 23rd, the DOS ladies were totally not helpful, didnt do anything for us. Nigel had the SMS text on Dec 2nd and got visa in hand Dec 3rd.......I saw it this morning! We cracked open the champagne and my ginger ale to celebrate! We hope to have him here Dec 15th, wedding Jan 5th, cause my family needs a bit of notice coming from Canada....

Been cryin off and on for about a day now........it was about this time yesterday when he told me............

It must feel soooooooo surreal! The emotional limbo suddenly coming to a welcome but abrupt end and the realisation that omg, it's actually happening!!

I'm totally stoked for you both :)
