Hi guys,

My hubby and I sent the I-130 to VSC on November 04,2009, but we got the NOA1/I-797C today from CSC, and the Receipt number begins with WAC. Does it mean our case transfer to CSC from VSC somehow? Is it possible? Meanwhile, our case status is Initial Review, is it normal?

From what I have heard, it can be sent to either center. Most have been going to CSC lately. Also, yes, initial review is normal. And that is the same start that my receipt number has. Come join us in the Nov 2009 filers thread! We'll wait it out together.

I'm hoping the petition was sent to the Lockbox address in Chicago for VSC, and NOT VSC itself.

There be contractors at the Chicago Lockboxes - they pull and sort.

If VSC is overloaded, they tell the Chicago Contractors to shift to CSC.

NO WORRIES ! You've done nothing wrong.

and..

USUALLY CSC is faster than VSC on I-130 processing - so really - YOU ARE LUCKY !!

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

It's been happening for a while now (at least since June) that most IR-1/CR-1 petitions have been going to the CSC. The official information on the visa process still says that the service center is determined by your state of residence, but this clearly has not been the case for a while. I live in Texas, so my petition (sent last June) should have gone to the VSC, but it went instead (thankfully) to the CSC.

Indeed, it seems some cases are transfered to the CSC from the VSC

You already got your interview date?! Congratulations!
