Whenever Uscis handles yr file they scan the barcode on it which updates the date on yr case status page. TO be able to look this up you need to sign up for case updates from USCIS.GOV . Once you add yr Reciept numbers to your account you will be able to see if your file was "touched". Hope this helps.

This whole process is sucking.... my expectations have been crushed.... I guess that is because I was a little naieve and uneducated in this whole process....

I hope not!!! I hope all October filers will come up and share their experiences over here. We are almost 3 months into this whole thing and it`s getting frustrating every passing day with nothing happening .........

Looks to me that k-3 filers here arent responding very well. Anyhow, I'm hoping that my I-130 gets approved along with the I-129F bcos I will be going the CR-1 visa way.

Oct 12,2009 - sent I-130

Oct. 19,2009 - received NOA1 for I-130

Oct 22,2009 - sent I-129F

Oct 30,2009 - received NOA1 for I-129f

Hi I'm a October filer and new to this site. Just wanted to introduce my self. My NOA1 has a date of October 13. I just signed up for case updates as well and it said my last touch was October 15. The timeline here currently shows USCIS CSC working on September 29 filers, so our dates are coming closer. Good luck to all.

This has been the longest 3 months of our whole life so far :-(

You can say that again, many times!

I-130 receive date: 10-13-09

I-129F receive date: 10-23-09

I-130 and I-129F cases "updated" or "touched: 10-27-09 (I guess this is where they put the 2 cases together)

Conservatively estimating (using the 10-27-09 date), I'm in day 89 or so for the K3 filing (I'm not really worrying about the I-130; figure that'll take its own sweet time). Liberally estimating (using 10-23-09 NOA1 date), I'm in day 92 or so. Timeline currently says they're processing Oct 20th, with 96 days to approval. So I've got 3-4 more days. Avg approval time is 105 days; so 8-10 more days. Yes, I'll have my eyes peeled in my US mail!!! Best of luck to all through this horrendous process!

Forgot to mention that I filed at the California Service Center. It appears that the CSC takes much less time than the Vermont SC...
