martindart,

I know you were only being facetious, but to clarify for the unwitting, the Diplomatic Pouch is designed to move Government classified or sensitive material internationally. I wholeheartedly agree that computer technology could speed up this process. One would hope that documents are scanned and further progress tracked electronically.

But wait, paper shuffling seems to be the case here. Sad but true...And the wait continues...

Has anyone else seen this while checking your status?

USCIS Director Gonzalez to Participate in "Ask the White House"

On Monday, July 24, USCIS Director Emilio T. Gonzalez will be featured on Ask the White House, an online, live interactive forum. You may submit questions for Director Gonzalez in advance at the White House website.

Here is your chance to flood their forum with questions. I posted one question and I did not see a limit.

So fire away with the questions on the website

My 2 cents.

Why so slow in processing K-129F petitions? Each stage of this process is so 1980 paper work shifting. Why not move into advanced computer transfer of files where a person would apply and expect consistent file locations.

Maybe we will see some approvals roll out on monday. Then he can say 'we started approving those petitions in CSC today so please be patient and we will be caught up quickly'. If he has any idea what is going on, it would be a good move to make sure that the initiative to eliminate the backlog has begun

When my Congressman inquired to the Visa Chief in HCMC as to how and when my petition was returned (after waiting for it's return for over 5 months months) the chief wrote in a fomal letter which my congressman shared with me via email on U.S. Consulate letterhead; We return Mr.**** petition via Diplomatic Pouch to the service center who approved it Now the consulate could have been less then truthful :innocent: but, that what the letter said. I learned later it went to NVC first, then onto NSC. This is where I was confussed as to where is my file been for five and one half months

martindart,

Your post got buried in there somewhere, but I saw it.

With that said, it appears that your petition was misdirected to the wrong service center, albeit Diplomatic Pouch or otherwise. Rest assured, the mistake happened at the Embassy. I am sorry to hear of that.

I hope that it soon arrives in the proper processing center, and receives due diligence in further resolution and processing. You got a really bad break in this debacle. For that, you have my best wishes for a speedy resolution.

Cheers martindart, We all look forward to seeing your approval. You two deserve it!

For those of you who dont know. On certain employment based petitions USCIS will for an extra $1,000 guarantee 15 day processing. I was just wondering why K-1 and K-3 petitioners don't get that same opportunity to get 15 day processing.

They used to, not sure why they stopped!

1. Same as all of you, why can't the CSC do anything efficiently

2. Why doesn't the I-129F Package come with a complementary tube of KY

My question(S)

Why does it take so long to process a Visa request?

Particularly K1 /K3 requests.

People are waiting up to a year to be with loved ones.

Imagine waiting 1 year to be able to have you wife live with you in your home.

Can you imagine falling in love and not being able to have your fiancée visit you and your family before the government ‘forces’ you to be married in 90 days.

What can be done to reduce this waiting period to a more reasonable length of time?

My solution, close up CSC and open another VSC.

CSC will never get it right, they have never been able to get things going. This BS has been going on for years there. CSC has always ranked last in processing times.

And I nominate William, Yodrak, and Aussiewench as the heads of that new Service Center.

THEN we'd see some progress...

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I also submitted a few questions... Thanks! Hopefully we can cause some awareness and create a better outlook on this stressful and frustrating situation.

Uling:

about your timeline and the molested thing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, It offends me and I'm asure others would agree.

My apologies! I'm not here to offend anyone! I'm here to share, learn, grow, and support others in this struggle to secure our love one's position in our beloved country. Please focus your energy on the common goal in uniting as one voice so our plight can be heard, responded too, and more importantly... RESOLVED! By the way, I'm not changing it!

Go Buttons it's your B-day! LOL!

I believe that it is Uling is venting his/her frustration by having that in his/her timeline. Yes, this is a very long process, the only other time that I were asked so many personal questions about myself was when I was going through the process of getting my security clearance. I can understand how he feels, a vast majority here feel the same way, all of us want to be with our soulmates and we deeply miss them!

Thanks,
