Visa Appointment Date!

Wao, Doan just received packet 4 and the date is December 15th, 9:30am. I just sent an email to the consulate last evening and Doan IM'd me this morning to tell me she received and the date is set. OMG my knees are shaking with excitement! Not much time to get my visa and tickets but its enough. I am planning on arriving one week prior to prepare together and stay for one month.

I think Jim and Phuong are the same day! It would be great to see them there and I will pray for you to get PINK as well as everyone! My mind is swimming, I better get back to work and try to chill out a little!

10/27/09 Doan sent DS-230 Part1 and DS-2001 via email to HSM Consulate
11/18/09 Doan received packet 4 and interview appointment
12/5/2009 Bernie Arrived to HCMC
12/7/2009 Doan had medical exam at IOM and vaccination at quarantine service
12/15/09 Interview Appointment - PINK - APPROVED
12/23/2009 Went to Pick up passport and visa - WHITE SLIP ?? 221g return for fingerprints
12/28/2009 Returned for fingerprinting - Given Blue Slip (221g - additional processing required)
12/29/2009 Went to consulate - said we are approved - waiting for fingerprint approval from US
1/5/2010 Went to consulate again- visa approved and printed - can pick up 1/11/2010

I had quite a few beers across the street, at the small cafe, while waiting for my wife. For some reason they seemed to go down much quicker than normal.

I'd be thrilled if we get the pink, but I know that blue is a real possibility. I'd graciously accept it, since a blue slip is still one step closer to the ultimate goal! Like I keep telling Phuong, they can delay us but they cannot stop us. good.gif
