Ok NVC recieved our I-129f from ISCS on Nov11th and forwarded it to the PH embassy on the Nov13th. I know this because i called them today, the woman told me that next contact would be from the embassy and they would contact my fiance? I didn't send NVC anything at all yet, no payment or choice of agent. She said are case was expedited and we are done with them and everything else going forward is done through the consulate. So I'm confused here, i didn't do anything special to get expedited but I guess that's fine, but what about the AOS bill, or choice of agent form? She also said there is no way to track my package to the embassy and has no idea how long it takes for them to receive it. Is this lady new or just not informed? My fiance has an address issue and I am concerned we won't know for sure if they received our package. Do you guys think I should wait for some a week or two and try to call them with our case number? (sorry for being a newb but the NVC flow chart seems to me that I will have alot of interaction with them still)

Same boat over here.. My package went in and out of NVC on November 10th.. I spoke to a lady from DOS yesterday and she said she had no idea how long it would take for the file to show active in Italy.. I think I have heard that NVC uses DHL, so it certainly should be there by now. So now I wait and call the embassy each morning so we can fax the necessary documents and set up an interview. Hope yours is at the embassy soon!

She also said there is no way to track my package to the embassy and has no idea how long it takes for them to receive it. Is this lady new or just not informed? My fiance has an address issue and I am concerned we won't know for sure if they received our package. (sorry for being a newb but the NVC flow chart seems to me that I will have alot of interaction with them still) The Flowchart you should be following is the K-1 Flowchart - unless your profile is not correct.

When the petition is approved - it can take a couple of weeks to get to NVC - once NVC has it, it can take a couple of weeks (or longer) to get to the Consulate/Embassy.

There's no real way to track the case once it leaves NVC (baring the mysterious DHL method which I have no faith works) - but when it actually leaves, it's there the next day or so. All you can do is get the NVC case number and review the correct flowchart and follow any regional procedures to get ready for the next steps.

Unless am reading things wrong - this thread would be better served in the "K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures" ; moving it there.

If you are a K1 applicant (according to your timeline you are) then you are confusing this with a CR1. Please read the K1 flowchart.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)
