Hey guys, I have a quick question for you ! For Packet-3, do we mail both the parts for DS-230 or just the part -1 ? And for DS-160, we send in one copy of the form and one copy of the confirmation receipt ?

You only need to send in Part 1 of the DS-230, and only the confirmation page of the DS-160.

However, when filling out the DS-160, make sure you print a copy of the entire completed form and another copy of the confirmation page, as both will be asked for at the interview.

04/28/2010 - Card production ordered!

I think its ok to send out a copy of the full DS-160. I included that and the receipt and I saw the consul use the ones I submitted to complete my application.

Finally married... and still married... ;)

Green card received: March 18, 2011

Removal of Conditions:

GC Expiration: March 11, 2012

Documents sent: December 13, 2011

NOA-1 received: December 15, 2011

Check cashed: Red said yes when asked

Biometrics: January 25, 2012

Letter approving 10-year GC: September 7, 2012

Production of 10-year GC: September 15, 2012

The Packet 3 checklist (or at least the one I got back in August) from Montreal specifies that you should send in both the confirmation page and the full five-page DS-160 printout. Make sure to fill it out with Internet Explorer because when I tried to use Firefox, it corrupted the printing of the full copy and I had to do the entire thing over again. (Quite a hassle for a Linux user as I had to reboot into Windows to get it to print correctly. People should really be coding sites for cross-browser compatibility nowadays, especially an entity as large as the Department of State.)

Montreal ultimately wants both, whether in your Packet 3 response or at the interview, so you might as well send the full printout in the Packet 3 response so you don't have to worry about it later.
