Hi everyone, just piping in to say Dan and I made it to Montreal. ugh... i`ll expand more on that later. lol

Ran into Sam and Ben in the hotel lobby.. .haha! *waves* I recognized them from their profile pic :P

Am going wandering now to try to find some poutine ;) Thanks for all the good luck vibes everyone!

Good luck everyone! You'll all do fine. Oh, and Notre Dame Cathedral is awesome - especially the organ - if you get a chance to tour it. Visit Old Montreal as well - there are some great restaurants down on the waterfront in centuries old buildings.

But, we were approved!! hurraaay! :D I will tell you all about it later, but for now I have free breakfast to attend to. LOL And yes, we are back at the hotel already and it`s only 9am! :)

Sam and Ben were first in line, we were 2nd, and Arabella and Sean (who got there basically the same time as us) were third. It was awesome having fellow VJers there! I`m sure we saw other VJers in line, but didn`t get to talk to them. Hope they all have good news too!! :D:dance:

How on earth did you get back so fast to post?! Haha.

We were back by 9am for breakfast, too. And, as Ashen said, we bumped into them at the hotel lobby, twice!

We were outside in line veeeeery early, 5:30am, and were the only ones there until 6. That's when Ashen, Arabella and their fiances joined us. Some non-VJers were after that, thanks to Arabella telling them that we all had 8am interviews and they would want to be there early.

So we waited. In the rain. At 7:30am, they opened the door. Bunch of us when in, waited (we got A!). We were a very talkative bunch in the waiting room, haha.

They called a few of us up for docs/payments, etc. Then we were told to wait until they called me by name or letter for the interview itself.

I knew when they called us by "Sam and Ben" over the intercom (considering we aren't listed like that on our documents anywhere), that it would be someone in the know in terms of VJ. Aaaaand we were right, heh.

He immediately, before anything else, thanked us for being organized, and mentioned how VJ is an incredible tool and how much he appreciates that we help others on here to become organized and prepared, because the last thing they want to do is turn people away due to missing a document. At this point, I asked if he was the rumoured "director", and he told me his official title and said yes, that was him.

Asked very routine questions, (my official review will be posted on the embassy reviews when I have a chance) "because he had to", then said I was approved, told me the general timelines for visa expiry, how long to marry, etc even though he knew I already knew it all (so he said). We were out by nine.

He did tell us to tell everyone that they are working very hard to clear the backlog, as evidenced by the K1 interview increase. He also asked what time we were in line so we could be first, and then laughed and told us to tell everyone NOT to be there that early, especially in the winter, haha.

But, yay! Yes, it was completely pain-free. We were prepared with everything they needed and it was a breeze!

Ashen and Arabella, it was wonderful to meet you both! And it certainly made waiting out in the cold pass quickly! Good luck to you both on your journeys home.

And an assumptive congrats to the other VJ members who were there today and approved!

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"
