Hi All,

I am the benificary of I 130. The case is in the state where DS 230 should be send. Problem is.

We have filed the case when I was in Pakistan so the case will be forwarded to Islamabad embassy in Pakistan. But I have relocated to Saudi Arabia now due to my job. Now I want NVC to forward my case to Riyadh Embassy in Saudi Arabia for the interview. Is it possible? If yes then how can it be done?

Should I just call? or Send them some letter?

How long it will take?

Is there anyone else who has done that. How was the experience?

I have emailed NVC but they did not reply till now.

Thanks in advance

Thanks Fiaz for such a prompt reply. Can you give me some detail about experience with the Riyadh Embassy? It will help me in deciding whether to transfer my case or not.

I am on Work visa here for nearly one year now.

1) It is difficult to go to pakistan again and again (In case the isl guys do not give me visa on first interview.)

2) If they take my passport, I do not know how long i have to stay in pakistan and i will suffer my job here.

3) As you know the current situation of Pakistan, you never know when they will close the embassy for undefined period as they had done in past.

Waiting for your reply.

Hi Fiaz,

Sorry to listen that. I hope that you will get some good news from them soon. I will pray for you for sure.

In my case, I have some good points.

1) I've been married for 3 yrs now.

2) We have a daughter who is 2 yrs old.

3) We have been living together since marriage. (Except for few months)

4) We did not meet online. It was not a distant relationship.

5) We have been engaged for 2 years before getting married.

BTW, i have called NVC and they said that you have to provide proof of residence in Saudi Arabia. I came here on 3 months visa and then I got my iqama which is valid for 2 years. Now if I send them my passport copy, they will object that the visa was valid for 3 months only. I am thinking about sending them a translated copy of Iqama showing the issue and expiry dates. WHAT DO YOU SAY?

I have email the Riyadh US embassy as well asking help but still no reply. What documents you submit to prove your residence in Saudia?

So I think that I do not have much to prove to them that it is not a fake marriage. By the way

They did not asked me to show any proof of residence but i belive that your IQAMA CARD copy is enough to show that you are residence of SAUDI ARABIA .

Just want to update this thread...

Changing of embassy / consulate is quite easy. Email them your passport copy and any proof of residence with case details of course. In my case, my proof of residence was in arabic so i got the english translation and sent copy of both. They assigned me a new Case no in a week.

You do not have to wait for their response email It will take time. Better call the operator and ask you new case no directly.
