Morning all,

I'm currently at the NVC stage. By looking at my time line you will see that IV and AOS fee's were paid on 9th October 2009. We received packet instruction on 13th October 2009. WE sent off all documents, I-864, DS-320, I-864A (joint sponsor) etc all together, NVC received it on 23rd October 2009. It's been 22 days today and they still haven't received it.

I'm getting worried. They have 2-4 week time-scale. Is this normal?

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Why did you send your choice of agent form to USCIS with your I130?

It is needed at NVC.....that might be causing your delay. NVC will not process your IV until they receive and accept your ds3032

I suggest calling NVC Call Center, get a human, inquire.

If you paid online, then you can ALSO check the payment status.

If you paid ONLINE and you can't log in, then usually that's a sign of 'case complete' at NVC.

But - talk to a human first - Pick up the phone and call?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I have checked the on-line payment sign-in page, unfortunately I can still sign in. I called NVC on Friday, still nothing entered into their system. DS-3032 was sent to USCIS cause I have filled using an attorney. When NVC received the packet from USCIS they found that out. When I called on Thursday, even the operator seem baffled as to why it's not been entered into the system, as they received the packet on 23rd October. It will be 4 weeks on Friday. I'm praying and hoping that they give me an interview date by next week. At least then I'll have a date to work towards. NVC staff aren't very technically training. You have to ask the basic of the basic questions about your case, or they'll just snap at you. My attorney email NVC on Monday evening CST. NVC have received the email, but yet to reply. I'm hoping that you'll send a productive reply instead of just saying wait.

Like many people on here, waiting is such a stressful process. After looking at many time-lines, allot of people had their 'case completes' within weeks of sending in I-864 and DS-320 forms. But some are still waiting for interview dates.I hope we don't get an RFE of any kind. The paperwork has been triple checked.

Any-ways, hopefully we get a result tomorrow.

Thanks for all your replies.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Yes, I have called but they say it's not been entered into their system yet, I find this quite baffling and worrying. The CSR sounded very surprised as well.

I think they have like 2-4 weeks time-scale to provide you with an Interview Date. I'm hoping this week. My attorney sent them an email last Monday, it's been 7 days today, so figures crossed.

Yes, hopfully no RFE's. Nice simple case complete and provide me with a Interview Date.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

2-4 weeks to provide you with an interview date? Where did you get that from? Montreal is running 3-5 months. It's really up to the embassy and how busy they are.

You're saying your DS-230 and I-864 hasn't been entered into their system yet? Is that what you mean?

DS-3032 was sent to USCIS cause I have filled using an attorney

Have the foreign spouse send in a DS-3032 to NVC, filled out and signed. Suggest Postal Mail, first class international from the UK.

What? USCIS knew that that my attorney, is the chosen agent for my petition, hence we didn't have to file DS-3032 again at NVC stage. We have to file DS-320 and I-864. We have done that, they received the documents on 23trd October, but haven't been in putted into their system yet. This is what is worrying me.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

What should happen next is having your DS-230 and I-864 entered into the system. Then they are reviewed by an officer and if all is satisfactory then you should receive a case complete.

After you receive a case complete, you should wait for the interview scheduling which is up to the London Consulate and is based on volume of applicants at the time of your case completion

Disregard the 2-4 weeks since that is obviously not taking into consideration consulate specific volume. I wish all consulates were like that (2-4 weeks) but sadly some are worse than others.

Set realistic expectations - it minimizes disapointment. You aren't nearing an interview date until your case is complete - then you wait

good luck
