Please help!!!

Hello, everyone!

I am new in this forum.

I am a foreign worker here in Canada. I got married last year and right now, we are waiting for my visa interview in Montreal for my CR visa. Due to the 90-backlog delay at Montreal consulate, we did not expect this delay and this bothers me a lot because my working visa will expire next month. Unfortunately, I did not find an employer who is willing to sponsor me so that I can renew my work permit. I am now working on applying for a visitor's visa hoping and praying that my stay in Canada will be extended.

I am thinking positively, but, at the back of my mind, I have thoughts like:

What will happen to our application(CR1) if I have to leave Canada and go home to my country?

Unfortunately, it is much longer than 90 days now.

I'm sorry but Montreal is terribly slow at scheduling interviews and many people have been waiting since July for an interview.

The only thing you can do if Canada wont' allow you a visitors visa is to return to your home country and ask Montreal to send your packet to your home embassy

Thanks for the prompt reply. If that's the case, do you think, we will have to repeat the whole procedure again when this packet is sent to my home country?

It shouldn't be a problem. Call NVC and tell them that you'd like to be interviewed in your home country. Might even work out better for you since Montreal is majorly backlogged.

I'd e-mail the embassy in Montreal and ask them directly

I am so grateful that there's forum like this because at times like these when you're so helpless and disappointed, co-VJ's thoughts and insights are so helpful and uplifting. The waiting process is really frustrating especially on my case that I am not in my home country. I found a new family in this forum, members in this new found family who have the same wishes, prayers and longings....TO BE WITH their LOVED ONES. It's great to know that you'll get encouraged, enlightened and at the same time inspired that in this "battle" I am not alone in this family.

Life after all, is still BEAUTIFUL!
