I-134 question

Hi to All;

We just received our NOA1 last week, I understand that the I-134 and other financial support documents from my fiance will be needed on the K1 interview. We still have a long way to go but I heard that completing the financial docs takes time to accomplish. Could you advice when is the best time to file I-134 or any other docs for this particular matter? Appreciate your reponse. Thanks!

its not that big of a deal as long as you meet the financial guidlines..ie 125% of poverty level...

Personally I just sent 3 years of 1040s and recent employment verification letter(provided by my HR dept.) and some recent paystubs..

took me just a few days to get all of this together...

You should IMHO work on your proofs of an ongoing relationship more for now... save everything that puts you 2 together..

You do not "file" the 134 with anyone. Once completed, you send it to your fiancee. She then takes it to the embassy for her interview.

I think mine was easier to do than the 129F.

If you make over the 125% poverty limits, you will not need a sponser or need all the bank info. This makes it a lot easier. The tax transcripts (last 3 years) you can get now free from the IRS by calling the 1-800 number.

Have your employment letter and pay stubs dated as late as possible before you send, it was the last thing I had done before I sent.

Once you get your NOA2 and NVC letter, call the embassy and get an interview date. She will go 8-10 days before and get the medical, visa payment etc done. Send her the 134 package before her interview by FEDEX,DHL etc. The embassy will examine the docs before her actual interview.

The I-134 your beneficiary carries to the interview should be as current as is practical. I would get your documents together and ready but not complete the affidavit and mail it until after the petition is approved. You may well be using a 2009 tax return and income figures instead of what is now current.
