How long prior to the interview can we get the Medical done?

Hi everyone:

So, as I wait for the Abu Dhabi embassy to grant me an interview (sigh...) I was wondering: how much time can elapse between the medical examination and the interview? I will likely be traveling to the UAE to see my wife again next month, and even though there is a good chance my interview won't be for a few months afterwards (double sigh) I would like to get the medical examination out of the way. Is this a possibility?

Also, where can I find medical examination advice/guidelines? She has most of her vaccines, and I'm pretty sure she doesn't have TB (Iran isn't one of the at-risk countries) but I'd like to know anything else I can do to make the process go more smoothly.

Thanks!

The medical exam is good for one year. Keep in mind that she may be placed in AP for a period of time.

Right, but the only time her medical's time is evaluated is at the interview, correct? If she's placed on AP, and by some stroke of horrific luck remains there for a year, she won't have to get another medical done, will she?

Here is what I have seen on Ankara website:

http://turkey.usembassy.gov/immigrant_security.html

IMPORTANT REMINDER REGARDING MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS

Medical examinations classified as "Class B (TB)" are valid for 3 months from the date the doctor signed the report. All other medical examinations classified as "No apparent decease or defect" are valid for 6 months after the doctor’s signature date. If your case is subject to further administrative processing, your medical report may expire during the process. In that case, you are required to renew your examination and submit an updated medical report to our office when you come here to receive your immigrant visa. Your visa validity will be limited with the validity of your medical report. If you plan to travel at a later date, you are advised to renew your medical report and get a visa with a longer validity.
