The financial person at Toyota where we got my car from told us that on his 50th birthday, his wife gave him a pregnancy test that read positive, wrapped in the box.

I wasnt sure bothered him more... the fact that he is starting fatherhood at 50 again (which he wasnt very happy about) or the fact that he had to touch a stick that someone peed onto... :P

Well.

That's a special kind of gift.

I wonder why he didn't have a visectomy if he didnt want kids anymore. (By what I took the above as)

Ewwww! Geez...

But doesn't the pregnancy test results fade away after several minutes?

I think some of them last up to almost 20 minutes now. Maybe even more.

My mom had me take a pregnancy test once cause my pills got rid of my period, so she just made me do it just in case.

I think the result lasted at least 15 - 20 minutes.

Lol Weird vent here, but I somehow managed to lose 7 pounds over the last month while doing the p90X stuff. I know I know, my wife already told me that's such a "horrible problem to have" but it's not good when I was trying to put on mass lol, time to up the ol' chicken intake per day I guess. I swear if I have anymore I'm going to grow a beak haha.

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)

Since it's the season of giving, I'll gladly switch you complications...you can put on some "mass" for me, and I'll lose some of that weight.

Too late to change your mind, you already complained.

Haha This may be easier than finding a way to consume even more lean beef and chicken every day :) My poor wife does all the grocery shopping and keeps complaining cause all of the healthier foods cost more money. I'll be the first hobo to walk around the streets with a six pack but that lost his home due to a need for high protein foods :)

I didn't know you are expecting Valerie, congrats!

Why are people posting their pregnancies in the vent thread....is it not a good thing??

Anyway - I have a vent, I am soooo tired of the stupid articles in the Calgary Herald that start out with something along the line of "Once again, Alberta is stuck behind everyone else" (this time about banning cell phone use while driving - the Premier says it is not a priority and will probably take a year to legislate).

Ok well, I think it should be a priority and I will write to him and let him know that. I am just so tired of people referring to Albertans as though they are a bunch of back water hicks that can't think for themselves and can't do anything right - whether it's cell phone usage, greenhouse emissions or voting conservative.

Well voting conservative explains it :jest:

Awww congrats Valerie!! That's so great. Now we have two bundles of CanAm joy coming around the same time! :D

I'm really glad this thread has moved away from the things you pee on  But I'm glad I'm not the only one weirded out by that! I think its great people want to share their good news with us, but that's just taking it a little to far...

Bow...meats can be expensive...especially organic or lean meats...have you considered protein shakes? There are some good brands that will give you calories and protein...with an ample amount of carbs too. It may cost about $30-40 for the container...but you could get a good 20 shakes out of it? When people train...and want to add mass...they will tack on a shake to their dinner as a healthy addition for bulking up on mass....

Just a thought :)

OMG!!! I totally just got a taste of what you're talking about: The P90x package came in today, so I went shopping for the first two days worth of food....over $150! Alot of it was just acquiring a "base" of things that I maybe should have that I don't (minced garlic, whey powder, bulk chicken, shrimp and a blender,) but still...wow. Did you follow the menu exactly? If so I bet your wife wanted to smack you after she went looking for "hearts of palm" lol. Nobody in the store including myself knew what the heck that was.

Sigh...I better look like Xena the Warrior Princess after this is done.
