By the way... the tab was called: Club Intelligence. I guess that's why she couldn't find it. ;)

So I guess someone decided to have their wedding on a Friday here. The wedding party is SO snotty and their guests are even snottier.

I love it when brides think their weddings are so special... and that they are SO special. The truth? They'll tear down your wedding, and prepare for the next one. They don't really remember you, and you're wedding is no different from the other 70 they have hear year round. No need to walk around with the diva like attitude in your David's Bridal year end clearance gown.

lol!

YOu is super funny today! :D

I never had that kind of wedding at all. I got married at city hall in a vintage dress and hat for 50$. I DID, however, think that it was the best, most specialist day ever -- but only my husband and friends that were there knew that. No diva type stuff but just that feeling of, "wow, this is the best day i've ever had..."

I think that feeling gets totally commercialized in these sorts of scenarios and then you know what happens? the sheer simple sweetness of it is totally sucked out of it and tossed down and stomped on like a 400$ bouquet that your best friend's step-neice catches and then proceeds to get blind-drunk, puke in the punch bowl, punch the head waiter and spend the night in jail while her boyfriend boffs the head bride's maid. And then you're stuck with 20 grand worth of debt.

I dunno... it's a super awesome day and everyone should really enjoy that day but not be a big jackazz about it.

Just my humble...

It's all good if someone wants a fancy wedding, or a small one. I had a somewhat fancy, somewhat small wedding. I have a thing against brides who act like they're the ####### on their wedding days and take it out on everyone else around them. Like demanding I phone someone who may or may not be lost on the turnpike... yea how one could get "lost" on the turnpike is beyond me. Do you get lost when you gotta paint by numbers too? It's a turnpike, you don't get lost, you miss an exit... there's a difference. Regardless, I didn't call who she asked me to call by the time I was finished ranting about her to my coworker it was time for me to leave.... oh your uncle? I don't know where he is... could be all the way up by NYC right now. :P

I'm feeling so Jersey today... I need to go blow off some steam.

Not only that one of the guests must have bathed in brute.... freaking brute! I thought they stopped selling that toxic ####### back in the 80's. It is the reekiest stuff ever!! I kept saying really loud at my desk: "UGH who's wearing the brute?" "Hey guys do you smell brute?" "Ugh it stinks like... BRUTE" Hoping the culprit would hear me from the office and feel all self conscious.

Surely they must have heard me... I was pretty much yelling while my coworkers laughed their butts off.

It's a b1tch thing that is multiplied when you put a white dress on them and give them a veil... it's THEIR day... they're the princess and they have the 30.00 plastic cubic zirconia tiara to prove it.

Actually, where does the whole, it's YOUR DAY thing come from anyway. Who came up with that - some bridal marketing group? What about the Husband and the guests, are they merely spectators on YOUR DAY.

In an unrelated vent, I ordered two blinds from Sears, custom cut. I read all the reviews for measuring etc and they state that they trim the size 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch - to allow for the hardware.

Well both these blinds are outside mount, so I followed their online suggestion and called in my order to the somewhat snarky ordering center, so they could write a note that I did not want these trimmed, they are outside mount, cut them to exactly the measurements stated.

Picked up 1 blind yesterday - yes, of course, it's not as wide as I wanted it, I don't even know by how much yet, have to go up and measure it. yeah.

Exactly a year before our actual ceremonial wedding, I am going to announce it as my wedding year. A day!?!? Pfffttt, that's not enough time to torment everyone I know. I am going to head to the Disney store to buy my tiara and my sparkling wand!

I have no clue, but now you have them with their sweet 16 parties and everything else. I believe these people just believe they're entitled. If a woman can't handle wedding planning - then perhaps a man should rethink where their relationship will go. Planning a wedding is not that stressful, not unless you really want it to be, and most of these women THRIVE on drama. So in a way I think they wait for things to go wrong just so they can have a reason to blow up.

Yes things will go wrong while planning.. Murphy's law.. BUT you handle it, you fix it and you move on. If you can't handle planning a wedding, then I don't think you can handle the ups and downs of a relationship, of having children... or life!

It's a process.. they go from okay... to bad... to worse. By the time they're full fledged zilla, the men think it's too late to turn back. Suckers.
