*VENT*

Don't EFFING salt my damn food!!!!!! I know, I've said it before but holy christ -- the guy in our cafe is VERY liberal with the salt. He salts everything. I had a salad today that was so over-salted I had to return it. When he makes me a lettuce and tomato sammich, he salts, I bring it back and get him to make it without salt.

Am I nuts? Is it normal for people to salt theirs/others food like that? I eat fries and burgers and stuff and am pretty assured that I am getting enough sodium in my diet -- I am just not getting how someone else thinks it's okay to put that much salt on my food?

I salt my fries, corn on the cob and popcorn and when I bake, I use the salt but other than that? There is little to no salt in my food.

Sorry for the rant but GEEZUS. IT's a salad, it didn't need a tablespoon of salt on it.

I Must hire this cook at this cafe. I (L) Salt, a little too much, my wife hides it in our house and gives me the evil eye when I put it on my food when we are out. But I do see your point, I really dislike when people put too much of any seasoning on my food without me asking for it.

I hate pretending like I'm not the biggest wimp in the world when I go to get a shot.

I am procrastinating getting said shot by sitting on VJ right now.

I hate them too! Cuz I have Hypothyroidism and I'm pregnant, I have to get my blood tested MONTHLY! Aarghh!

Hilarious!

To each his own for sure but just don't salt MY food is all I'm asking. Or a communal bowl of salad -- you musn't assume that everyone likes to be heavily dosed in salt.

The dude even salted the damn spring greens mix. Who the eff does that?

Okay. I'm done.

Maybe.

I know that he's having trouble adapting to me having a new lifestyle. I'm doubtful he'll come around...he has very high demands of his friends, and if he feels ignored he throws a temper tantrum and sends e-mails like these. He was actually MAD that I invited him out to breakfast on Sunday morning when I was in town last weekend.

He's got a lot of growing up to do.

Even thinking of the prospect of getting montly injections is making me feel uneasy. For me, it's even worse with blood tests. I have really deep veins in my arms that are unuseable for blood tests, so they usually use a vein in my knuckle, or the top of my hand. Good thing they give me a muscle relaxer or some other medication, cause it takes 15 minutes to draw one vile. :(

Reven, I read your sharing with great reverence and respect but I just wanted to point out...

It is BAWLING, not balling!

BUt thank you for that, as that is one of the best word switch-ups ever...

Your bride friend sounds like a complete selfish douche... sorry that that happened to you.

((((hug))))

I stand corrected, lol. I'm an immigrant--English is my second language!

My "friend", ha. I got married a year after her--she was a no show at my bridal shower, pre-wedding reception, and wedding.

Reven, it may help you to know that "balling" is a slang term for having sex. LOL

Really? LOL.

My wife thinks i'm insane because I want to go to Churchill Manitoba. Mostly, I want to go because I am infatuated with polar bears. Meanwhile, she wants to go see the Grand Canyone. Seriously, polar bears are soooooooooooo much cooler than a big hole in the ground in the middle of a desert.

I'm tempted to put one of her wedding pics, the one with all her bridesmaids for you all to see. She got us to wear the Chinese silk dress in blue and silver--Ugh! I complained about it to no end with hubby.

With regard to ScooterMac's and my friend-with-issues, I have to say I saw it coming when we started hearing grumblings about not being able to pay for the tux rental. This person mooches off of everyone he can until they're either bone dry or don't want to support his being a bum, and then accuses them of not being a friend in order to guilt them into giving him more.

At least, that's my thinking now. Dude hasn't had a long-term job for quite a while now because there are classes of jobs he considers "beneath him". He wants to get hired as a supervisor or manager, and nothing less... or at least, that's his excuse for not working. I know ScooterMac has sent his resume around to different potential employers where he lives, and the few ones that have tried him on for size, he's either decided that he didn't like the job and stopped coming, or was late enough times in a row that they just said to forget it.

Besides which, dude is in a city four hours away. I don't really understand what he expects of us. Visiting is one thing but we're in the middle of planning a wedding; free weekends are a rare and wonderful thing.
