I-134 tax question

Hi All,

First let me state a few things up front. 1. I know I'm an idiot. 2. I know this is entirely my fault. 3. I know I'm an idiot.

My 2008 tax return was rejected (both federal and state). I made several attempts to fix it, but nothing I was doing from the tax software was helping. I got so busy with work that I ended up putting it aside, and here I am, having received my NOA 2 and basically waiting on this for my Fiance to submit our forms to the Embassy. So I've had to file a paper copy with the IRS, which will take about 6 weeks to process. What I do have are a regular copy of my 1040, and a copy of my 1040 stamped by the IRS saying that it was received. Also, I owed nothing to Federal or State. They owed me. My questions are...

1. Can I use either of these forms for my I-134? Will they fulfill the requirements for the I-134?

2. If they will work, will it be a problem if at interview time my taxes are still being processed?

3. Anything I'm not thinking of...

Thanks in advance. You all are the best.

I don't see a problem... I have never provided any information that the returns I submitted were in fact accepted and processed by the IRS.

YMMV

The I-134 isn't about your taxes, its about your income.. If you can prove your income, there should be no problem.. Have a copy of the most recent letter from IRS regarding your 2008 filing should the CO ask... Pay stubs banks letter and the like should be enough... have the previous years tax transcripts if they were filed...

1. Yes

2. No

3. Are you thinking of butterflies? Not that it matters, but you may not be thinking of them. You are good to go. Make sure you enclose a copy of the entire return, all schedules and attachments and w-2s/1099s etc.
