Rita -- I thought you completely forgot about us :jest:

Jax -- I agree with Rhonda 100%. The best proof of the relationship is you standing right there next to him. I would highly suggest you attend the interview. Thanks Kim for the downlowon how things went. It seemed they went easy for you guys. I was just asking if you could be there with him because my sentors rep told me it was not worth going to his interview because he would be in a holding room where he did the interview hiself but it sounds like that is not the case at all. I will need to tell him the day I get back so he knows what really is happening. Best wishes on the things to come. How was the baseball game?

Cheers

Jax

That's what I thought, that there was some type of room to go in to....but it is just like a bank. Window 1 where you put your interview letter is where everyone is seated and then around the corner are the other window.......with our interview, Craig was asked to go sit down and "I" got interviewed and window 10 gave ME such grief !!!

Just checkin in.....alls well over here. Craig is going to start a job tomorrow, working at a college. A good friend of mine is the President of the college and he'll be doing odds and ends stuff all over the college. He also had an interview today with a temp agency (for warehouse folks, etc). He had a 2nd interview for a laborer's job this past Sat and then I ran him all over applying for jobs at the 15 million grocery stores, Walmart, Kmart and Target that are near to us.

CONGRATS to those and I pray for those with the losses and Tony's son not feeling well and WELCOME to the Newbies !!!

JoJo --by us signing the affadavit of support holding "us" (that petition) liable? or is that ONLY after the marriage ?? I thought by signing that, we are "responsible" for them for 10 yrs???

I believe the stipulation here is that you MUST marry within 90 days. If you don't marry, I don't think that contract applies anymore. There's probably something about it in the fine print

Hi ladies, just stopping by to say hi,

I am gonna go and catch up, I am a little too excited to sleep, (then again I just might go and sleep).

I just came on to check my email and I must say thank you all so much for your kind words of advice all this time. If it was not for this thread I would have given up. A very special freindship came from this experience .I know I am going on as if I am all finish withthis process but that is not the reason I am saying thank you. It is because my I130 was APPROVED.Ican't believe it htey approved my petition in a little over 3 months.

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." - Mother Theresa

One Bridesmaid might yell at the other one Sunday for not returning her messages. I don't wan't a fight I told the girls. So a week with these ladies maybe drama. Woman ugh...Can't we all get along.

That's going to be fun!!!

Tristan is doing ok; most of the pain has subsided and he seems to like the new area he's staying in. He's just hoping he can find a job soon

That's so good that he has found someplace new to live....and a job....that will come in time....

No pop, candy, rice, dumplin, etc. Trust me it was hard esp late at night. I get the munchies all the time but now I just drink a glass of water instead of eating late at night.

You're my idol

Mine too (F)

Hey everyone. :D

I just came back from the SSA office i didn't get the SSN they gave me a letter stating that they are going to submit my application to the DHS for verification and in about 4 weeks time they will send me a SSN card if the information i gave them matches with that of DHS

The same thing happened to us....that was back in February -- we got the card in about three weeks.

Us too. :P

I get sick to my stomach as I read my post. Again D say don't worry, Bull%#*

Dee,

We still have not heard anything from our interview held on June 29. I think they are backlogged and uses anything to delay giving you an answer.

???What's holding you all up? You mean you guys left without getting an answer? I hope you hear something soon.

I'm not sure where your senator got his info. from, but it is totally inaccurate  Almost all of us that were at the Embassy with our fiances were able to be there for the ENTIRE interview. In a few cases, the interviewer asked the US citizen to go sit down for a moment so they could ask a few questions just to the fiance. There is no holding room  or anything like that. It is more like a long hallway with about 10 windows and you just stand in front of the window for the whole interivew. (Picture a bank with the plexi-glass windows with a little opening at the bottom to slide paperwork in and out and a speaker to talk into)

I would highly suggest that the US citizen attend the interview if at all possible. YOU are the best evidence and "proof of relationship" you could possibly have. It seems that all of the guys who interviewed alone got hassled a bit and were asked a LOT more questions. Just my opinion.

DITTO!!!

please keep my family in your prayes as my grandmother passed away last friday night. I was at work with my bags packed ready to come to jamaica to come see her. i grew up with her so this is really hard but just please pray for my family

aaww so sorry to hear that!!! my thoughts are with you and your family (L)

 Ditto

Squitto's -- Welcome Home!! We want all the gorry details

Rita -- I thought you completely forgot about us :jest:

(((((WAVING))))) Hey Rita!

Congrats to the Squitto's :luv:
