Nice and small, no fuss, no muss. Then I can get down to the business of planning the big bashment. :D

You know you just gave me an idea... My Great Aunt has a backyard to die for. Maybe I'll ask to use hers.

:D Glad to be of help! Now all I have to do is find a decent dress.

Id like to have my wedding in Austin overlooking Lake Travis. About 25 guest. Nothing big; been there done that. To me it means so much more to have it quaint & personal. I take my vows very seriously & just want to say them to him before God! Hopefully he will get here so we can do this.

EbonySean this one is in the bag girl.!! Heads up.

For everyone that filed K1 - did you plan for and have a simple wedding soon after your fiance arrived? Did you do anything bigger later on? Were the guests mostly your friends and family?

Still planning ahead.

Before the wedding I had all these hopes and dreams of this big picture perfect wedding. After the wedding I could wish for nothing more. Small (4) guest. :D Including the photographer and the minister. We were married in a chapel here in town. May do something bigger for our 5 year anniversary in Jamacia.

That sounds ideal!!!

Rhonda would you ever consider relocating for a better job? Check out this book from your public library Forty Days to the Work You Love by Dave Miller. This book is great for people who feel trapped by a job they don't want to be working for the rest of their lives. Anyone who wants a good read check it out.

I guess it just depends. I'm really close to my family so it would be really hard for me to move out of state. But if they retire and move upnorth (like they're thinking of) it may be a possibility. I'd like to move somewhere warm like Florida or the Carolinas. Tony says he doesn't like the cold weather either, but the past 2 days my crazy Jamaican was wearing shorts! :o:lol: And it was only in the upper 50's - lower 60's!!

Thanks for the book tip. I'll have to check it out.

Tony is running around in his shorts already  . He must be excited that spring is on its way and summer is almost here. It has been 79 degrees here for the past 2 days wish it could stay ;) . Even though I do miss winter I love snow and the snow helps the earth water supply. Rhonda please don't hit me ;):P B)

Congrats  It sounds like fun. Don't forget the Jamaican tradition of Flouring your love one on his birthday. It's the funniest thing I have seen. We did it to my husband last year  . I don't know if a ten year old would enjoy that but how exciting for him he must be telling all his friends of his upcoming trip. :luv: You two have fun!

What is flouring? Never heard of it

Let me see if I can find a luck of hubby Floured on his birthday last year. I wish I could be there with him this Wed and do it again that would rock.

Ask Tony about it. It is a tradition that you poor flour on the birthday person. They told me they were going to do it on our wedding dat to me because it was my birthday I said hell no or they would get a beat down.

Does anyone know.....can Roy bring a bottle of Sorrel back for me? Just want to make sure he doesn't have any problems...

I would wrap it in underwear or a cotton tshirt then jeans and put it in a plastic sack just incase it explodes or get a ziploic case. A few things I wrapped last trip broke so be real careful

Dirty bananas are the best. I love rum punch..especially frozen.

For some reason, I only drink beer (Red Stripe) and coffee in while I'm in JA.
