Happy Friday to everyone! (L)

Elias has still not come out. I go to the doctor today, mabye they will force him out then ;) If not, Monday I have some testing done - and they will induce me around the 21st  I guess not more than 10 more days to go then.

I've been getting as much walking in as possible, but this little guy is on a nerve or something - I can barely walk!! It takes me a good 5 minutes just to get up my steps.

Maybe if I give the dutty wine a try??? :P

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

:dance::dance: Congrats Darlene :dance::dance:

If this is the NOA2 approval then they will send your case to the National Visa Center and assign a case number. Like everyone before me has said, you can call in about a week to see if they have it. It takes about 10 days!!! They will then process it...another 1-2 days and overnight your packet via DHL to Kingston. You can call the Kingston embassy to confirm receipt between the hours of 1:30-3:30 JA time Tues thru Friday. You will need to have your NVC case number......

Once Kingston confirms that they have it, you have two choices..... send your honey to go pick up packet 3 from Kingston or wait for snail mail!!!

Your honey will then need to turn in the DS230 (this is inside packet 3 or you can down load it off the web)....this is how Kingston then sets up your interview date........if he has not already started, you should have him get the following ready...

He needs:

No-Impediment form from Registers Generals Office

Certified Birth Certificate from Register Generals Office

Updated Passport

10 passport photos

Good luck girl.......things start rolling FAST now!

Sorry for delay...here's how things went down yesterday

Our interview was scheduled for 8:30am in San Francisco, CA- we arrived at 7:45am. After going through security (and cell phones are allowed as long as it is not a camera phone) we were told to take the elevator to the 2nd floor.

We checked in at the front desk (one side for Citizenship, one for AOS), we sat in section B and waited. There were a few couples (with their lawyers) and one family waiting. CNN was on the news *yawn* so we talked and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally we were called to be seen.

R. Nelson was our interviewer, and we were directed to his office. After raising our right hands and swearing to tell the truth, our interview began. He started with the general questions (confirming our address, phone number, names, no kids, wedding date), then went down the list (are you a terrorist, are you a Jamaican spy, etc - these questions were on the I-485). He asked me how and when I met my husband (confirming info from the K1 packet, and what we both did for a living. Once that was done he complimented me (he told me that he had reviewed all our paperwork and that I am very organized and more prepared than most lawyers he sees) and said that he feels we are a young couple going in the right direction. He took my husband's work permit, looked at his SS card, looked at some photos, complimented my mother in one of the photos, and made copies of our joint bank statement, joint photo gym membership cards, and a letter from our co-sponsor (my mother).

He then told us that the name check has already been cleared, and that we were approved. When we confirmed that we would not be travelling abroad within the next 30 days, he handed us a letter reminding to file for removal of conditions in two years. He said if we are as prepared as we have been in previous filings, we will probably get 10 year greencard in the mail. We were told to expect greencard in the mail within the next two weeks.

By the time we walked out of the building, it was 8:45am.

I cannot believe it was so easy. Our binder weighed over five pounds and he didn't look at a single thing (no tax info, marriage certificates, birth certificates, etc.). I made sure to include three years tax info in our AOS packet (even though now only one is required) and sent more than was necessary and it paid off.

:dance:Dutty wine, shankle dip, blaze, frogback, tump di sky, row di boat, weddy weddy weddy

Congratulations. CSC is really great. We are still waiting. Got a touch but nothing else.

Congrats to Darlene!

Boy, its a nice evening here, such a pretty night, we really should be out doing something fun.

Lake is gonna start his job on Monday (I hope) unless the guy calls and says no. They have VERBAL approval apparently, but the main office has yet to email/fax them the WRITTEN approval that the background check is good and he is set to go.

I dug around and found the guys personal phone number that was out of the office all day, (he had originally called and left that number to tell him NOT to go to work, a bit frantically last week) and he gave the go ahead. So...cheers!

Now, we need to find a cheap international calling plan. :( Cablevision has one for $60 that includes 500 free minutes, but guess what...NOT in our area. We dont even have T Mobile here yet. Phoooey!
