So...D was walking in town today and some girl tried to pick him up..she stopped him, asked where he was from and made a comment about how she loved his accent and how sexy he was.......

Okay..then the girl had the nerve to ask him if he had a girlfriend and said that she did not mind if he did!!!! He told her that he was getting married in two weeks and then she backed off..... I know he is is hot and sexy... but why are women sooo agressive........go find your own man lady!!!

This happens to us all the time Gets some class why don't they.

Some stupid, fast, horny lady did that to Rohan yesterday. just boldly asked if he wanted to come to her house and sleep over. What nastiness. She blessed I am a Christian or I would had put on my slipper and gave her a smackdown . What is wrong with these ladies

Rohan K1 expried on the 28th of July. We still had not filled in his AOS paperwork. To be honest the $ is what is holding us up. $580 for both AOS and EAD is hard right now , Is there anyone who had filed almost a month later after the wedding or longer (I plan to file by mid-Aug) and had no problems, What has been your experience. It is a good thing Rohan job pays him cash, but I dont think I should put he is working on the application, because that would be working without authorization...right?? His Ead also expired on the 28th, but he had the job from June. Please help. I am a little worried

I think I filed a month after the I-94 expired. I called the USCIS, he said that I was okay as long as we were married in the 90 day time limit. I'm sure that he is not supposed to work with that expired EAD.

Our I-94 expired April 7th and we mailed AOS papers at the end of April (they were received early May). Didn't receive an RFE or any hassle so far (our interview is next week so if they bring up the late filing I'll let you know). All in all sounds like you're okay (many people file late) but you must marry within 90 days.

Me too, we really need a vacation Our Cali trip was postponed b/c Our "new" car died out on us. We decided to get it fixed instead, we have already spend damn near $2,000 Almost 1/2 of what we paid for it. It still needs one more part..another 250$ on Friday.

As for school It'll pay off in the end. I need to go back this ADN is just not cutting it, with my new position as a manager, I feel weird not having it. I want to start back in the winter .

Also.....how much did everyone pay for the DS2030 to convert over to the new form or did your husband have to take a new medical???? I guess I need to start working more overtime and save, save save......

Kim - Start working on this now. Go to the USCIS website and pull up the list of "Civil Surgeons" in your area. Call all of them until you find someone who.....1) won't make you do the physical over again (it's not necessary -- it's good for one year), 2) actually know what you are talking about, and 3) won't try to make you pay hundreds of dollars for a doctor to just sign a piece of paper.

I found a doctor who charged us $100.00 only to sign a piece of paper and put it in an evelope and seal it. Because of some of the "horror" stories I heard of -- $100.00 was a good price to pay to get the right form. BUT, Roy did not need any shots....this guy actually took our hundred bucks to make a few check marks and sign his name. This is a HUGE money making opportunity for these people......

Jamie had found a doctor that would do it for you for only $35.00 -- unfortunatly, that doctor went out of business.

If I was you, I would search VJ to see what experiences people have been having lately (we did this back in February). You'll either find info in the AOS or EAD Forum.

Did anyone actually file for the AP, did you use it? I am thinking if it takes a year from filing to get a green card than it may not be necessary to file for the AP, because we dont plan on going to Jamaica until next year August. And those who got the AP..How long did it take to get?

We used the AP last month when we honeymooned in St. Lucia. Look at my timeline, it took a few months.
