Hello everyone,

Well, I have more bad news again :( Tony's uncle was killed last night in JA! :o The only details I know is that someone broke into his house and shot him twice while he was sleeping!! It is just devastating. He was only 41 or 42 years old. This is the 3rd uncle of his who has died in the past year - 2 on mom's side, 1 on dad's side. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Rhonda,

Please offer my condolences to Tony. I've said a prayer for him and his family. Death/Grief is tough to handle and when compounded and recurrent, it's just that much more difficult. I'm also saying a prayer for you too, Rhonda. This has to be hard on you as well...witnessing all the pain that Tony has gone through in just a year's time. May God give you the emotional and physical strength and whatever else you need to be able to help Tony through all of this.

Much Love to you and Tony, (F)

Lee

Just checkin in.....alls well over here. Craig is going to start a job tomorrow, working at a college. A good friend of mine is the President of the college and he'll be doing odds and ends stuff all over the college. He also had an interview today with a temp agency (for warehouse folks, etc). He had a 2nd interview for a laborer's job this past Sat and then I ran him all over applying for jobs at the 15 million grocery stores, Walmart, Kmart and Target that are near to us.

That's great news Kelly - I'm glad Craig is adjusting so well. I hope he had a great first day

Hey Julie, I bet you're ready...those last couple of weeks....killer, especially the way the weather has been !!

Craig had a great day yesterday. He was soooooooooo excited to start working!! He didn't get home until 7pm (gone since 8am)....looong day--but he got to sit in traffic!! (he's also riding with my friend to and from). He'll be working at this job at least the rest of this week and possibly next week, but they are also having a job fair at the college today, so he took a bunch of resumes. My friend (who he is working for) said that he could take time off from working to go and check the job fair out. So that's very cool.

Rhonda, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It just makes me soooo sad about the stuff that goes on there !!

Rhonda - how are things with your stepson?

Good morning everyone (F)

He is doing better. He spent 2 nights in the hospital, but he is back at home now. Thank you for asking and thanks to all of you for your support :luv:

Rhonda I am so sorry to hear this. I will keep you guys in my prayers. This is so............:ranting:

Good morning!

For the new filers, did you get the REF with the same questions that were on the new forms? I just got an e-mail from someone and they also waited for the new forms and got the same repeat questions. Why do you think that is?

Two more days and I am going to my home away from home. I am so excited. Will be catching the beginning of Sunsplash in Priory. Great lineup for the first night. I am still debating if I will delay my return home to stay for the entire party....

Update: I was "touched" today so... maybe my RFE is on the way. I'll keep you posted.

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leaving in less than 8 hours for the airport. I am finally getting excited.

Got this e-mail today regarding my RFE that they got on Tuesday. Thanks for the information. Preliminary processing was complete, remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message (of course not time was listed.)

Oh well, I guess that is good news.

I hope to be surprised when I get home.

WE ARE DONE!!!

Thank you so much everyone for your support and thoughts and prayers :luv: You guys are great. I feel so bad that Tony's family is so far away and he can't always be there with them when he wants to be :( I think that is the worst thing about these kinds of relationships. We just can not afford to keep going down there for everything that happens. I feel awful for him though that he can't be there with them

Unfortunatley, they have not caught the monster that committed this crime. :ranting: It sounds like they don't even have any leads. I agree with you guys, the violence down there is getting out of control. I love to visit but I could never live down there.

Leaving in less than 8 hours for the airport. I am finally getting excited.

Have a good trip and be safe. Hopefully you'll have good news when you get back home

Sorry, I've only been lurking lately - I don't have as much time to post at work anymore. But we are doing just fine - I'm definitely ready for him to be born :yes::yes:

Julie, I can't believe it's almost here! 9 months flew by  Good luck with everything and make them give you pain killers  Keep us updated if you can.

What is going on with this world??? So sad...

Where does Tony's family live?

Most of them live in Ocho Rios. His mom lives in Exchange with is part of Ochi I think. His kids and their mom live in Port Maria, in St. Mary.

Rhonda, So sorry to hear of your loss. This is scary. Is it safe to travel to Jamaica?

Popcorn, my condolences on your grandmothers passing.

I agree, spend all the time you possibly can with those you love, you really never know. My sister lost her husband of 32 years at 52 and he seemed like he was the picture of perfect health, was in better shape than any of us. I lost my brother when I was just a child, he was my hero, my idol, and it really opened my eyes to trying to not take any relationship for granted for life. Just a blink and they can be gone.

Rhonda, so sorry to hear about Tony's Uncle, that is so sad. It sounds like Jamaica is almost as dangerous at this point as Guyana is. Give him my condolences as well.

My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
