Hi,

I have a quick question about when one can get their Police Certificate. Is it once the NOA1 or NOA2 is available? My fiance has to go through the Japanese police, and they're asking for documentation stating why he needs this information. :(

Once the Police Certificate is made available, does he take it to his interview??

Sorry I am not very smart when it comes to figuring these things out! hahah

Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you!!!

Depends on how long it's valid for; in the UK, it's valid for 12 months and most people get it after NOA2. Trying doing a search in the Asian forum for people in Japan.

Naturalization

9/9: Mailed N-400 package off

9/11: Arrived at Dallas, TX

9/17: NOA

9/19: Check cashed

9/23: Received NOA

10/7: Text from USCIS on status update: Biometrics in the mail

10/9: Received Biometrics letter

10/29: Biometrics

10/31: In-line

2/16: Text from USCIS that Baltimore has scheduled an interview...finally!!

2/24: Interview letter received

3/24: Naturalization interview

You are smart  , just dont have knowledge in some areas..

Police certificate are obtain when you know the interview is schedule [you can get it now but some countries have an expiration date]. Is suggested to obtain it when you know your interview date. You should visit the US embassy and print the requirements for K1 visas, it should provide some information you can show the police office in order for them to issue the records

Once the record has been issued, your fiancé will bring it with him to the interview along with all the other forms DS, FS and supporting documents you are/have send him...

Hope this help.. Best of luck
