So it's in Vermont...we're just not sure if it's been delivered yet. USPS says 'Arrival at Unit' whatever the hell that means. But hey, it's in the right town and the right state, progress :)

(I think I need to relax a little bit otherwise I'll have had a heart attack by January!!)

When you say TOUCHED where do you get this information from? I know that touched does not really mean anything important but I was just curious.

Our package was sent 10th November and signed for 17th November but no news yet. My fiance sent a money order rather than a cheque so that doesn't help us any.

May 2007 Met online

6th November 2007 Met in Person, returned to UK 9th January 2008

23rd June 2008 2nd trip to USA, returned 26th August 2008

22nd June 2009 3rd trip to USA, returned 20th September 2009

10th November 2009 I-129F package sent

17th November 2009 package signed for

12th December 2009 RFE(???) for CERTIFIED Divorce certificate, still not got NOA1

14 December 2009 TOLD OUR PACKAGE IS BEING RETURNED FOR INCOMPLETE DOCUMENTS - THERE GOES OUR TIMELINE BY 2 MONTHS

27th January 2010 STILL waiting for an NAO1!!!!! Packet was sent to someone else with same name and never returned, weather caused delays, telephone helpline ppl just keep saying to phone back as we have to be reassigned a new number. Argh!!! We should be approved or denied by now!!!!!

I sent mine on Nov 3. It took 20 days for me to recieve NOA-1 in mail. I'm sure yours will be there soon. Good luck.

Thanks for that, just very frustrating/worrying when some are getting their NOA1s just a few days after sending and ours is now at 28 days :crying: Still, the processing times do seem to be pretty fast at the moment for NOA1-NOA2 so I shall hope that we are luckier in that area.

Early November filing for 'us' too. 6th i think it was. NOA received in about 2 weeks with a date of 2-3 days after it was sent.

1990(-ish): Family Holiday to FL. Met Nicole & family.

1990(-ish) - 1992(-ish): A few return visits

08-09/2007: Go back to FL. Meet with 'the folks' & Accept that we both 'like' each other & start dating.

02/2008 - Present: ...go back to FL again a few times.

09/2009: Propose and she says 'Yes'! :D

11/06/2009: I-129F posted to VSC

11/07/2009: I-129F received at VSC

11/09/2009: NOA1

11/13/2009: Touch

12/2009: ...back to FL once again

03/08/2010: Touch & NOA2 (119 Days)

03/11/2010: NVC have my case

03/12/2010: NVC incorrectly assigned & dispatched case to Dublin, not London!

03/18/2010: Package arrived in Dublin

03/19/2010: Ring Dublin and get case transferred to London

04/01/2010: London Sent 'P3'

04/03/2010: I Received 'P3'

04/14/2010: 'P3' sent back to embassy

04/16/2010: 'P3' recieved at embassy

04/29/2010: Medical - Passed

06/17/2010: Interview - In AP (220 Days)

08/17/2010: AP Finished - Approved

On the USCIS website you can create an account which allows you to receive email and/or text updates on your case - all you need is the case number.

Once you've added your case number to your portfolio you will see a 'Last Updated' date listed next to it. If this changes, but the case status doesn't change, it's a 'touch' - basically USCIS have done something administrative with your file, but haven't approved or denied it.

So for example - our NOA1 date was November 20th. Since then, our 'Last Updated Date' has moved from 11/23/09 to 11/24/09 to 11/25/09 - but we are still at NOA1. So our file was 'touched' on those 3 dates.

Hasn't moved since then though :(

I guess that one or two cases with a lot of RFEs and long timeline can throw off the average quite a bit and that's likely all that has happened. I'm just hoping that when we DO finally get our NOA1 in the post the date on it will be way back close to when it was received. However we have other problems bigger than that to worry about. Anyhoo, hope your sanity holds out, lol!!!
