awwwww, Megan and Travis, you both made me cry with the lovely dresses and ring and everything

I wish you all the happiness in the world.

And oh boy Mrs D., you sure are sexy as a Thailand ladyboy

If we both got denied this visa, come to France and we'll get married lol

 I'd marry any of you on this thread!

I'm 6ft 3 with heels on so am looking forward to raising a red flag at my medical for being a suspected ladyboy!

You and I Naddy, will be going to our weddings in South Carolina in wheelchairs and wearing incontinence pads, we'll be so old by the time our consulates get round to our interviews!

Travis and Jum - it's all gorgeous!

Have you ever seen the Ladyboys in Thailand? If that is what you look like, you are extremely beautiful. For those that haven't seen Thai Ladyboys, here is a picture...

For those interested, here is what my wedding is looking like so far...

Here is the church that I am going to get married in:

The father of Orville and Wilbur Wright was a pastor of this church.

Here is what her engagement ring and wedding ring look like:

Here is what we are thinking for her wedding dress:

Everything looks very perfect and just about designed for the two of you.

I loved the church too.

so you guys are looking at a late May early June date I suppose?

I'm 6ft 3 with heels on so am looking forward to raising a red flag at my medical for being a suspected ladyboy!

Well, they should be able to debunk that pretty easily...

In other news, VISA IN HAND (really, two days later? Maybe we should send some of the speed-laced red bull the folks in Auckland are drinking over to these stupid snail-bassies) Ewan is taking his driver license test (he has no license in NZ, and I have a feeling it will be easier for him to get one here if he's got that one - thoughts? please?) on Tuesday afternoon, so we're looking at a POE on Wednesday!

Wow that is some pretty darn good consulate. So it is all nicely concluded Megan.:)

And just my thoughts,I do not know if having a an international license will help him getting one in the US.He does still have to take the test and all right? But when I was a student I did carry along my Indian license,so that I could atleast rent cars when I wanted.Hertz and enetrprise insisted on that.

But the DMV did not want to see anything of that sort when I went for my driver's license test.It would not hurt for sure.May be others who really have more idea could chip in.

Happy for all of you:)I hope Paris and London straigten up their act and not drag you guys for so long.I just want the interview part to be over with.(with the stamped visa of course!).Then the waiting will be less stressful.

Oh and did you find out how much ewan actually ended up paying for the K-1 visa?

I think there are some states and some countries where you can transfer directly from foreign license to US license if you just bring proof of address and do an eye test or something. I can't tell if FL is one of those states or not. But you CAN drive on a license from NZ here, for a little while at least, so that will be perhaps a little helpful. Yeah, I don't know. If it doesn't make things any easier for him to get a US license, he will be pretty annoyed with me for insisting that he do it, but oh well. It won't be the first or last time I've been wrong in my life!

Re: the visa fee, I don't know if he told me, because I was so excited about the approval I forgot to ask. I sent him an email, so I'll keep you posted as to his answer.

As to Bangkok's Consular quick visa approval, should it have taken then a long time to validate a bonafide relationship with all those confusing pretty ladyboys around? :innocent: Obviously they don't seem to ask them to show what's under those flimsy mini-skirts, huh?:bonk::lol:

Ooooh kids. Need some good thoughts please.

Supposed to be going to see the boy on Wednesday - but there's this small problem of an erupting volcano.

I went to see him in the middle of January and my flight was cancelled twice - not to mention the small matter of a trip to Munich cancelled in the British airways strike.

This is my last chance to see him before I move in October and were having a rough spot as it is - couldn't bear to lose yet more time. Cross fingers please!!! :)

I'm visualizing strong winds over the weekend to blow all that smoke and ash to mess up someone else's airspace.

Stupid geology, with your earthquakes and volcanoes...

Hope it works out for you, dear, not only because the sunshine state will be a much sunnier place with you in it!

Bearing in mind the whole visa process is one big mountain to climb, who could have predicted a REAL mountain would actually get in the way?
