Grrr! I hope everything shapes up fine on his end and you get that ol' P4 very soon (this week, darnit!!)

They were pretty guarded about telling him when, I guess (as is to be expected) but he seems confident that he'll get it by the weekend, for reasons that aren't entirely clear to me (we could only talk for a few moments after the interview, since he doesn't have his phone card and we had to cell it up for $1.59/min). I suggested we wait before he buys the ticket, though, just to play it safe. We haven't hit any huge bumps yet (knock on wood!) and I don't want this to be the thing that causes one...

Congratulations. I wonder why all if these Consulates are sooooo different. In Bangkok they gave Jum a date and time to pick up her visa as soon as her interview was complete. They were like, congratulation you gave been approved. Be here 2 days later at 3PM to pick up your visa.

Megger & Ewan. You've got it. And you Mrs, are so deserving. You have been a rock, a cheer and a comfort for everyone else for the last 6 months. This is the good news of the day and I am so, so happy and relieved for you.

Mrs Naddy. Mr Naddy has worrying family situation, he needs his woman, and where are you? Still waiting for a consulate to process you, nearly a month after you sent packet 3 back. Me and you still in the same boat. London still not even logged our cases a month on.

I can't post on the UK interview forum no more due to the presence of a big cheese member, who brags about being personal friends with the UK CO's and who takes great pleasure in berating, humiliating and attacking anyone who dares express frustration, upset at the stresses of their own personal situation, or even humorous jibing about the London embassy for the long wait. S/he has already mockingly pointed out that I seem to think I am "entitled" to a visa (which I have never said), and took great pleasure in emphasizing that I am not and I am clearly not aware that it is in fact, a privilege. It's nice to know there will always be someone who enjoys kicking a dog when it's down.

I will be eternally grateful for the support, comraderie and all the laughs you good people on this forum have given me during these soul destroying 6 months. I love you all x

Ms DogHandler, what a bummer!!! What is world is this little Junkyard chap doing in there sniffin' in your forum? If he is a personal friend with the UK CO why is he scavenging in the rubbish? Shouldn't he be at the Dog Saloon gettin' groomed... I bet you he is just big-cheese wanna be unemployed chap... You can tell him I said so :bonk: ... But don't worry, we love ya and we pray for ya and the Lord will smile and bless ya with a P4 soon... You have been the most wonderful member of the Nov09VSC class and I am not even smoking that Egyptian pipe thing, it is from the heart!!!

I had a question about the I-134 Q7.Since John is still unemployed he has left Q7 blank. Is leaving something blank fine?

And regarding Q11,my fiance has ticked on 'I do intend' and our co-sponsor on 'I do not intend'.Will the separate answers be an issue?

Am I getting worked up over nothing major?

Do not leave a question blank. Put some answer. If it's none, but none. If it's 0 put 0. If it not applicable, put N/A. Always answer every single question, otherwise it will cause problems.

For Q11 I did not check any box and I put N/A and explained it is a K-1 visa and she intends to live here as an immigrant. I forget the exact wording I used.

:lol: Your comedy sure has healed my bruises. And, you could charm the birds out of the trees! Don't know what your plans are in the USA, but you should head to Hollywood!

I'm now laughing at the fact that I have had to come to another thread with an asylum application having fled my own country's thread!

It's now a 3 horse race - Paris, Cairo and London. Well, not horses, DONKEYS!

On the bright side, the folks working here in the November thread will process your application for asylum way faster than USCIS and the US DoS would process a similar application!!

I'm not that lucky. I still have 1 more month before I will see Jum again, and you think Jum is cute :D?

You'll be lucky soon.

I second! She's exceptionally cute!

For the Q7, I'd put either "unemployed" or "N/A" in the first blank ("employed in the business of...") and "N/A" for the others. As for that tricky Q11, I'm pretty sure I did "intend" and qualified it underneath by saying that I would provide room, board and household expenses until EAD was issued and job obtained. I'm pretty sure some consulates (like London, yes?) require that to be checked. However, obviously that's not true across the board, as T&J will attest. There's always the option to get the ol' boy to fill it out two ways and send both to you, so that if they don't like one, you can give them the other and avoid a delay. But don't stress too much, dear! They can't deny you on your flippin' BIRTHDAY!!

Furthermore: We'll definitely have to travel on to the AOS forum together. KisK, what are your marriage plans? I expect you to be first of us to file, so let us know the haps, and well get an AOS thread started for us to reconvene in when the time comes!

Well Ms DogHandler, I am a USC and my fiancee is in Cairo and she is not even an Egyptian :innocent: . She went to school there and works there. And I have lived in California but Simon Cowell, that crazy big-cheese wanna be Brit, voted me off the American Comedians Idol :lol: But I try to cheer you up because your own funny messages here kept me going during my NOA2 anxiety attack :crying: and I now through this P4 anxiety attack :crying: . And you are right, it is now a 3 DONKEYS race, but I though in your town you call Donkey "####," right  ? So, let's just call it for the sake of your big-cheese wanna be UK CO buddy, a "3-way #### Race!!!!":lol::lol:

KisK, what are your marriage plans? I expect you to be first of us to file, so let us know the haps, and well get an AOS thread started for us to reconvene in when the time comes!

It seems like we are going to elope in Vermont at the end of May. We just found a cute little inn, where the owner is a Justice of Peace, so she can marry us :) :) Everything will be low key as there is just too much stuff going on to plan a normal wedding plus we are moving again. So, we decided to have a wedding party later, maybe in the fall, when I can have my parents here too.

I will file for AOS as soon as possible - I would really like to start working again.

Off topic question for the girls on this thread - are you planning to change your name after the wedding? I like the idea, it's just weird mixing the foreign names.... thoughts?

I'm not changing my name, mostly out of laziness. It's not important to either of us for me to have his name, and I can't be bothered getting my driver license, passport, etc. all changed to a new name. And learn how to do a new signature? Nope.

They asked him:

If he'd ever met my parents, what I do for a living, and what my brother's name is.

Phew! I'm so relieved! They should be printing and sending the visa shortly - we're hoping for a POE one week from today!!!
