Quick question for you folks out there, my fiancee is currently awaiting the Varicella Vaccination in Nicaragua. They keep saying it will be longer and longer for the vaccination to arrive there, we have been waiting for around a month now on just the vaccination alone. So my question for all of you out there is this, my fiancee is eighteen years old. I just emailed the embassy and they said that she could get a waiver for Varicella, but because of her age is this right. I thought that I had read somewhere here before that she had to have all of hers because of her age.

Thanks,

Chris

If she has never had chicken pox before then yes she would need to get the vaccination, I havent heard of anyone getting a waiver for this vaccination and waivers cost around 500$ to file and can still be denyed.

If she has had chicken pox she can ask for a tieter test to check the immunity of varicella aka chicken pox.
