It was a great win! I am so proud of them. I am.

I don't expect we'll win the world series but maybe they'll surprise me. I do know that they've put up a GREAT fight and for that I am proud.

On another note, the Raiders have found yet another level of "Rock Bottom"

They're planning on digging up John Matuszak and activating him for Sunday's game? :wacko:

I used to love hockey and worked for the Oilers for awhile (my dream job growing up), but - as you might tell from my name - it's football all the way for me now! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE FOOTBALL and I don't discriminate against any league - NFL, CFL, NCAA, you name it, I'll watch it! Edmonton Eskimos, Oakland Raiders, Tennesse Titans, and Fresno State Bulldogs are my teams!

So the story goes....

Does any one know if the National Lacrosse League is still going on with the Toronto Rock and Syracuse, etc.?

The National Lacrosse League is still around. Syracuse is not in the league anymore, but the Toronto Rock are still in it and the Philadelphia Wings who play out of the Wachovia Center along with 10 or so other teams. The Rock will be in Philly on April 3rd. The Wings home opener is January 16th. Now that baseball is over, this is our next big thing to look forward to. The full season schedule can be found at www.nll.com

She's so happy though, it's more cute than annoying which is good. Haha.

Now my husband will focus strictly on hockey season and I don't like the flyers so its always interesting. He decided to be a smartass lastnight and bought me a Giroux shirt while we were at my sons hockey practice lastnight.

You see, my last name and his are almost alike and EVERYONE around here asks if we're related to which I roll my eyes and say: "NO!! YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE SPELLING OF OUR NAMES! HELLO!?"

So ya... brand spankin new Giroux shirt if anyone wants it...:P

We tried to buy Flames tickets today, for my Husband and his friend, Pittsburgh vs the Flames, in January. No tickets to be found!

Something I've found..........if you have a nearby city that also has a team (of any kind) and they suck, you can usually make a short roadtrip and end up with really good seats.

Let's just say, I see a lot of out of town football fans here in St. Louis!

Damn Yankees. Enough said. :(

haha Giroux and my brother were pretty big rivals in the QMJHL a couple years ago. It always feels good when I can see a young player develop like that.

The National Lacrosse League is still around. Syracuse is not in the league anymore, but the Toronto Rock are still in it and the Philadelphia Wings who play out of the Wachovia Center along with 10 or so other teams. The Rock will be in Philly on April 3rd. The Wings home opener is January 16th. Now that baseball is over, this is our next big thing to look forward to. The full season schedule can be found at www.nll.com

Good to know! My brothers always played lacrosse until they both moved away to play junior hockey. I LOVE box lacrosse and spent a lot of my summers watching it as a kid.

No one gets box lacrosse here where I live..in fact, they don't even know it exists..just field lacrosse.

Box lacrosse? I barely know what lacrosse is :blush: By the same token, I imagine most have very little clue about my main sport as a kid (water polo)
