If you dont go to the interview, how are you supposed to get the visa? Seriously?

Yea the way you worded your question wasnt the best way, sounded like you wanted to skip your own interview. Anyways, you dont have to go to it but some people do say its easier to have their SO there with them also some consulats go easier on people if they are both there. But its completely up to you if you want to go or not.

Well if you have the resources to be with your wife on her interview then go. It would be nice to have someone to hold your hand when u are nervous facing the consul you know hehe. Yea they say it's a plus factor to have ur fiance/spouse with you on the interview but due to financial constraints i had to go to my interview alone...I told myself...i can do this...i have all the evidences and truth to prove our relationship is genuine. So far, it worked for me! :) Goodluck to both of you! You can do it!

Do you guys think I should go to the interview,, if I ever get a date. I want to go, but it would be an extra cost???

I'm struggling from this question too. It is such a huge additional expense and supposedly is not technically necessary, but it sounds like it could make a difference. I haven't really heard much from people who haven't gone, just people who have gone. Please let me know what you decide, or if you find any good info.

It's a judgment call. It definitely helps to be there. My wife had her interview yesterday, and she passed without me being there. Did I want to be there? Oh, yeah! But our finances didn't allow that to happen. If you can afford to go, I would say yes, go and be at the interview. With everything going on and the expenses of getting a visa and immigrating, that's not always practical. If your case is straightforward, there should be no problem of your SO passing the interview. Nonetheless, it's a stressful time when it's good to be there to support your SO. I say go if it's financially reasonably feasible. If not, save your funds for your immigration journey.

It takes 8 months for us to see each other back again since we started our visa process, and now here we are reunited back again and happy together.
