Just out of curiousity... how many of you are in different time zones from your ex? Do you find that it makes a difference on what things you do together or not, if you're say, 3 hrs apart in time?

Do you mean fiance(e)/spouse? Because you said ex... I don't care what time zone my ex is in

But the time change (eastern vs. mountain) was really annoying for us sometimes... He would get home from work around 6, but for me on the east it would be 8. Then if I had to be in school at 8am the next day, I'd need to sleep by say 11 and it would only be 9 for him. So most nights I would stay up past midnight, sleep 5 hours and spend the day in school. That was pretty crappy. On the plus, we would talk on the phone more if we couldn't be on the computer for too long. I always found we could accomplish more in an hour long phone call then we could talking over the internet for 3 hours. There are to many distractions!

I flew Airtran a couple months ago and quite liked their service. I wasn't expecting much...but they had great staff, clean planes and everything was on time.

And they have free XM satellite radio on most flights! Its nice and keeps you entertained.

Yeah, that's a huge perk, actually. I think I'll take advantage of that tomorrow. I'm currently reading a Greek literature book, and I don't think I could manage to focus on it while on the plane!!

why yes, I did... lol was watching TV and posting at the same time. Bad combo apparently.

anyways, I know what you mean. I run into the same problem sometimes with my fiancé. I'm EST, he's PST. Of course, I'm the one staying up late and running on less sleep. We never end up talking much until 9-10pm though, cause that's prime time for him! lol Oh well. It has been worth it of course, but it's wearing on me.

We did a lot of chatting, some voice stuff, but we were using crappier computers then, and MSN. Lots of cutting out...it was very frustrating. I think once we were a lot more comfortable, we talked on the phone way more than we spent on the computer. Gene had a fantastic phone plan, so we used that more than anything. For Christmas, Gene got me, and himself, webcams, but to be honest, I hated them. I only used it a few times and ended up crying most of the time. While I really missed Gene, it was way too hard for me to see him on webcam. Not being able to touch, missing him so much...ugh, I just hated webcamming. So we stopped using it.

We watched ballgames together while on the phone...lol We played cribbage and Scrabble on-line. A few times Bridge. We did crossword puzzles from the Saturday paper on the phone. We would exchange quite a bit of music and listen to that together. Same thing as someone else mentioned earlier...we would say "play...NOW!", and then listen to the song at the same time. We both introduced each other to new music, likes and dislikes of music during this time.

It seems SO long ago now!
