My fiance is in New Delhi India and she currently does not have a Indian Passport. Obviously she will have to apply for one - and in India the passports have the holder's address printed directly into the Passport itself. In US Passports this is not the case - we write them in ourselves in PENCIL.

My fiance was born in a Mountain Town in Northern India and she is telling me that since her birth certificate is from that city, she will only be able to get a Passport from the OLD state she used to live in PRINTED with her OLD address.

I am checking into this right now and I think she is wrong about this and she can get a passport from New Delhi with her current address.

However my main question is this. If we go ahead and decide to get her Passport issued with her OLD address - will this create some potential problems for the K-1 Visa or at the interview?

CR-1 Visa Was Approved :-)

Entry Date to USA: 2/3/2011

12-10-2012 - Sent off I-751 packet visa USPS

I751 Was approved - 10 Year GC was granted

N-400 Progress

4/10/2014: Package Mailed
4/11/2014: Package Received
4/14/2014: Notice Date
x/x/2014: Biometrics appointment

Not sure about India, but I don't see a reason it would cause a problem.

I had no problem with my passport having an old address handwritten in it.

What they look in your passport is the biographic page and US entry stamps if any.

08/17/2009 GC(10yrs) received
