(F) im sorry......what happened?

sara

Sara,

It was a perfect match because we felt so and everyone agreed. We did everything together for eight months - laughed, cried, loved and understood each other. We also filed out our I-129F, got NOA1, then after 4 months got our NOA2... then in another two months while waiting eagerly for packet 3 and 4 and sending stuff back to consulate, we found out our interview date was yet another two months away. We got sad but were happy now we had a 60 day count down and then we will be together forever. Yea right!

Two weeks before the interview, he went for medical (passed it), submitted all the docs to VFS the next day and came home and said to me he doesn't want to come to America any more. Our interview would have been two days back but he didn't go to it. He said he didn't feel like coming any more... :'(

I withdrew our file and canceled the petition.

I don't want to ruin other people's day because they have good things happening. It's nice to see couples who stick together... for years. My hands are trembling seeing what is love and what I saw in my life.

Im so sorry this has happened to you......all men are not bad and its hard to know what one is good and what one is not until push comes to shove......plz dont give up on happiness....i dont know the reason that this happened i mean maybe God safe you from an abusive situation we just dont know........ur in my prayers and any time u want to talk i can listen i dont have a lot of advise but i can listen sometimes just that can help......... ONN, my heart is with you and I wish we all here could comfort you. I can't even imagine if it were me. I don't know why your fiance made this decision as he did or why he chose to do it when he did, but I'm sure one day he'll be remorseful for losing the heart he held in his hands. It sounds like in your story that you and he both were happy at some time?

I hope and pray that your heart is healed and that someday you can forgive him and find a love so perfect that you'll look back and thank God for this.

I believe that you will.

Hi there,

I am sorry that you went through this. But, you did the right thing of not pursuing this further. After all the trouble you went through and for him to back out last minute does not show responsibility or maturity on his part. Imagine if you did get married and last minute he cancelled. Count your blessings that this happened before you pursed this further. I am here if you want to talk, but I can tell you there are good guys out there and are committed to the relationship. I am really truly sorry, and I can completely relate to your pain.

Hey thanks for reminding me about setting back the clocks! Completely forgot until I read your post just now.

I got a lot done today, just staying at home. I have this project going of digitization all my family's old photos (from 1930s onwards) - I have to scan them, then crop, then save them with correct names, then label them digitally in Paint. Many hours work for hundreds of photos! But it's good knowing that we have all our photos safe in cyber space. :star:

Kathy, thanks. How I wish this process wasn't so toll-taking... emotionally, physically, mentally, financially. Sigh.

Thanks, Third. It just feels horrible to post such negative things when you see others celebrating and so full of hope. And then at the same time you feel so left out... keep wondering "why me?"

ELW, Nina, Sara, thanks for the support & prayers. I'm trying to find meaningful things to do now to keep myself busy and not drive myself even crazier.

k.loveh, thank you. My congrats to you and your SO.

Starlight, thanks.

You all are so kind. I wish you all happiness and love. God bless.

It's a great day to be alive!! The sun is shining....we're awaiting packet 3 to come in the mail any day. I'm so happy. It's great to be in love, and I know there is no guarantee that we will pass the interview but at the same time, it feels good to know we are so close to our chance to prove ourselves. I'm really excited, even though it costs me $60 to mail round 2 of documents needed for last part of this process lol. I just feel good. I hope you all can be optimistic throughout the rest of your visa process.

January 2009 - K-1 Denied by the consulate

January 2011 - Moved to India - Yikes!

October 2011 - DCF filing rejected by overzealous employee at the embassy

December 2011 - Tourist visa denied (not surprising)

March 2012 - CR1/IR1 process started

May 1, 2012 - RFE and some of our information was entered into the computer wrong by the CSC

Read about all the shenanigans of my relationship at American Punjaban PI
