Can any parts of the I-129F package be submitted electronically? Are there portions of the K-1 process along the way that can be submitted electronically?

I had a consultation with a lawyer who does K-1 Fiance Visa processing and she said that with the use of technology and online features the process has been improved. I was honestly not taking notes during this answer because I had many other questions for her regarding what evidence exactly is needed.

Thanks !

Is slight possibility, for K-1 petitions going off to Guangzhou, China, that they MIGHT SOLELY get transmitted from NVC to GUZ via SAFEFILE.

For other consulates, other IV units - I've no idea.

IMO, your attorney was just giving opinion - there's no wide-spread use of 'electronic filing' for K-1 petitions.

Some consulates are replacing a paper DS-156/DS-157 with the OF-160, but it's a pilot program, and usage varies by Embassy.

Unless something was announced today, NO - there is no 'original submittal' of a K-1 petition, electronically.

Good Luck !

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

No part of the I-129F can be submitted electronically. The USCIS portion of the K-1 process is entirely paper-based.

Depending on the embassy/consulate with which you're dealing, you may be able to submit some documents by email. Some consulates are also utilizing the online DS-160 form, which replaces the paper DS-156, DS-156K, and DS-157 (if required).

You can find out everything you need to know about this process and the required evidence from the USCIS website and this site. Frankly speaking, unless your case is unusually complicated, consulting lawyers is a waste of your time and money.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Wishful thinking but the problem would be electronic signature verification. You have to be able to tell electronically that you are you, if not, I could submit an application for you and make your future immigration life problematic.

No. Petitions are filed by mail. SOME consulates are accepting the new DS160 by electronic filing for the visa application, not the petition. I do not think India is using it yet. It is somewhat experimental. I understand Montreal is using it, there may be a couple of others.

There has been a new case information website implemented, this is an information only (read only) website and the jury is still out if it is any better than the old system.
