If you don't think that it could reasonably take 6 months for a NOA2 at this point, consider that I mailed my I-129 TWENTY days ago, and have yet to even receive a NOA1 !!

Now, a NOA1, from CSC, only took 1 week last Fall ..... now it's taking at least 3x that (and still waiting ....)

Then, consider that a NOA2, from CSC, only took 3 months last Fall .....

If it's now taking 3x longer to get a NOA1, can't you reasonably assume that it'll take AT LEAST 2x longer to get a NOA2???

How I long for the days PRE - 911, when K1 Visas process in 90 - 150 days. I mean your fiance(e) would be in your arms in 90 - 150 days tops. Now that's the length of time it takes for a silly NOA1.

I blame the dahamn TERRORIST and not CSC. LOL!

AJH,

Interesting theory, however it's IMBRA that is causing this cluster Fu@@, and ridiculous delays in what should be a rapid process.

Look over to Vermont!!! that is where things happen in a normal fashion.

9/11 is not a factor in any way, with the exception of additional scrutiny of Islamic men. That piece however, is beyond my comprehension, my future family is of the Islamic faith. Very gentle, respectful and likeable people. Our Government does not get it, they assume the worst of people that are Islamic. Like every other faith, there are zealots and extremists.... does anyone remember Timothy Mcveigh? A worthless christian, but this is topic of another forum...

:ot2: Does anyone have insight on the CSC delay?

I know it is a different center, and things are likely organized differently... But you would think that CSC would start getting at least some NOA2s out. VSC turned some out fairly quickly after the RFEs were returned. I really can not imagine what they are doing in California. Maybe they should have someone from Vermont come help them get organized... Err but then there would be a delay getting organized lol... *sigh*

I suppose we just sit back, try to take a deep breath and hope things get moving soon! I know everyone is anxious, and I know I am frustrated like many of you too. Lets hang in there... Something has to happen soon!

What is going on over in CSC?

They have had returned RFE's in the hand since late June, and I have seen only 2 or 3 approvals, from January.

Does anyone have any news about progress? What are they doing?

William,

It's been 4 months since I received my NOA1. I've heard nothing. How do you know your file has been touched?

Do you have an online account with USCIS?

If you don't have an account with USCIS, you can create one here:

https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/term...ntextType=RP_EN

You will need your case number, an e-mail address and a few other details.

Once you create the account, you can check your status, whenever you wish. I check mine every day, several times.

Slight addition to William's post... when the "status date" changes, you know you've been touched. There's often no clear reason for the 'touch'... could merely mean that your petition was moved from one pile to another... but at least it gives those of us in limbo some hope...

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Well, my thought was that if processing was largely complete, and when they matched up the returned RFE with the case, do the right thing - GET THE RUBBER STAMPER OUT: APPROVED!

They generally send out an RFE (the traditional kind) after they've had a chance to actually look at your file, have gone through it, and done most of the processing, and found it lacking. That's why the automatically generated RFE acknowledgement email for your IMBRA RFE said that processing was mostly complete. Becuase they didn't bother to change it for those of us with the IMBRA RFE... in our cases, the most processing they've probably done was to note our NOA1 date, and then generate the RFE. I very seriously doubt anyone's cracked my case open at all except for that.

They'll get to mine after they've gotten to all the people waiting in line before me... but I'll probably be in England by then, and have withdrawn my petition.

Hang in there devilette,

Approvals are coming soon. We just need more time. Time is difficult to give I know, that is the crux of the of the problem with this process, time. I don't have any more time to give either...... I need a NOA-2. We will get it!!!

I'm losing hope. Maybe I already lost it?

Another June approval at VSC....methinks they have some March/april/May ones at the head of that queue. Might be 'faster' but only for later filers, it seems.
