I had sent our Affidavit of support package on 10/19(signature confirmation) and the last activity shown on USPS.com is 10/20 1:48 AM (left chicago, on its way to destination). There are no tracking updates after that which makes me really nervous. I talked to USPS supervisor at the drop off location and she tracked my # and had a big ? in her face and asked me to check back tomorrow. Typically my experience with USPS until this time has been really satisfying, and they tend to update USPS.com periodically with each and every events. It has never taken more that 3 days.

I hope they haven't misplaced my package. Should I send another set? I don't want to confuse NVC with multiple copies, had they already received it. I am lost!

What do I do?

Priority.

Should've overnighted it but the reason I didn't is because DS-3032 still being processed and I figured by the time I pay and send IV package, it would take another 2 weeks. So overnighting AOS wouldn't make a difference anyways as everything comes down to DS-230 ... :( ..

What if I send another AOS packet?

If you got a really important package, there are two ways to ship it: USPS Express, or FedEx Overnight. Everything else is just a gamble. Most of the time it works out fine, but that's no consolation if your package is among those where it didn't work out fine.

That said . . . it will most likely surface in a few days.

Edited by Just Bob

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Since you are waiting on the 3032, you can give it another two days for the package... If by Monday it is not delivered, send it overnight... No sense sending another package overnight tomorrow, it will not get there till Monday anyway....

IMO - Signature Confirmation is a waste of time, unless you sent it to the COURIER address.

If you sent it to a PO BOX, figure 5 to 10 days EXTRA TIME for a NVC person to run through the stack of SIGNATURE SLIPS and sign your 1 signature slip (out of 500 to 1000 that are backpiled to sign) .

It's enough, for the PO Box, to have 'delivery confirmation'.

'Signature Confirmation' makes the package WAIT at the final postal service center - as no one is available to sign it INSTANTLY when the Postal Carrier makes the drop off. and... The Postal Service Employees KNOW THIS.

IMO - the delivery will be delayed by a week to 9 days. During one of those days, as I've said, an NVC employee will show up, deign to sign those MANY SIGNATURE SLIPS (yours in in there ) , and you'll get some signature confirmation back.

OTOH - if you used the COURIER address (for UPS, FEDEX, DHL ) - then it'll be instant - there's a human standing by to sign , during the day.

Good Luck !!!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Its finally delivered today..

That makes sense and that is what I thought had happened. It had never taken this long with my previous shipments using Delivery confirmation (no signature). This definitely is a good topic for others to know as well..

But now that I have been burnt, next time on I will use OVERNIGHT.
