Thanks! I should at least let them know the plight of our situations and not my particular case cuz the faster CSC approves everyone else... the faster they will get to my case. That works out for everyone and you know that strength comes in volume. The larger the voice... the more likely we are to be heard.

I'm in contact with my senator & a May NOA1. I agree, the louder, the better.

I agree too. I contacted my congresswoman not necessarily about my case although I did have to include that information, but about the non-movement and backlog at CSC. I asked since they had all this extra work with the IMBRA law and the transfers from the other service centers if they had added extra staff to accomodate the workload. I think bringing this information to their attention could only help all of us. Her aide (who is very nice and helpful)did look into it and while she didn't answer all my questions in part she did say this:

"Further info... The I-129-F petitions subject to IMBRA are those received March 6,2006 and later. They will be placed in line for processing as soon as responses to the RFEs are received. Processing expected to take 30 to 60 days after receipt of RFE response."

We can only hope that is true. But at least CSC knows there are people looking over their shoulders.

30 days? So we shouldn't expect any approvals until after August 1 since they started getting RFEs back in the first week of July.

I heard 30 days to adjudicate from my (Ohio) senator as well. Problem is, are they going to approve approx. 8000 petitions in 30 days? i think not.

No. The way I understand the wording of that email is that you will be placed in line as soon as they get your RFE and then each RFE starts their 30 day time frame. So since they acknowleged my RFE on July 7 then my 30 days puts me in August. I don't know if they will start processing my petition in 30 days or will it be approved in 30 days. Wow! they are taking baby steps if this is true. If I believed all that I read then I would expect some approvals in the first or second week in August. Somehow I don't believe anything I read about senators anymore and feel there will be some approvals any day. ....and yes I know there was an approval though it was a recall.

I'll be happier than a pig in ####### (do they actually enjoy that? ) if my petition manages to get approved in August.

Ok, I spoke also to DeWines office. It seems I am not supposed to call again for 21 days from RFE receipt. I know it will be first thing that morning. Nothing seems to be happening at CSC and DeWines office seems to be under the impression that the cases were brought directly to the adjunctors desk upon RFE reciept and would be quick. I dont see signs this is happening as planned. At least they seemed willing to talk to me. I am sure I will press a little more the next time for case specifics. I was just shocked when I got a call about my inquiry and thrilled he thought only 21 days.
