My wife and i got married april of this year. I already got a notice that my wife's I-130 got approved. I did not submit one for my daughter because i was waiting on some paper work to be finished concerning her brith certifictae. So, what form would i need to fill out for my stepdaughter, and what documents would i need for the first step?

Also, can someone give me a little bit more info on the follow to join application. Is that faster after my wife is here, and would my stepadaughter apply when her mother got here? Or is it just better to start her papers now?

You're the USC, I presume. So by daughter you mean your biological daughter or your wife's daughter meaning your step-daughter? If she is your daughter, then she is automatically a USC. If not, you will have to file a similar I-130. I am not certain if you should start the process now and if you should wait till your wife gets there. Maybe someone else can help you out with that?

The process for your step daughter will be the same as for your wife. File the I-130 for her with the supporting documentation.

I see your approval came quickly, I'd delay any more correspondences regarding your wife's petition until your daughter's catches up so they can interview closely together and come together.

Good luck.

Sorry for not adding that. She's my stepdaughter, and i am the usc

File the I-130 for her ASAP. There isn't any "follow to join" for a CR-1.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

We forgot to do a seperate I 130 for my daughter, petitioner's stepdaughter. This can knock you back months. We put in a request to expedite, a DCF filing based on our stupidity, and that my daughter would be left without a mother once my petition was approved. |(Plus some medical stuff) We used a lawyer to do this. It worked.

You will know how many months you are behind. This is a big big deal and you need to get your finger out and solve it. The London embassy were really stars in helping us solve this.

I'd say birth certificate, marriage certificate, her passport/ID (if she has any) and maybe a picture or two if you have them with her. And what about the girl's biological father? He will probably need to sign off on his kid being taken out of the country unless your wife has full custody.

Well, we got a judge to issue my stepdaughter a new birth certificate without the father's name. We also got a document with the judges signature giving my wife sole custody of her daughter. The bio father does care about her and did not want to help us, so we got him out of the picture, but it was wasn't cheap.

Is there a link someone can provide me that list what i need with the i-130 for my stepdaughter?

Oh, that could be it. I was just going by the regular I-130 (say for a spouse) and figured you could just apply that to a 9 year old as well leaving out whatever is irrelevant. Passport pictures would seem like something that would be a must. Even for a 9 year old. You know what I mean? Of course if the instructions say otherwise, then so be it.
