Hey Everyone!

I just got back from Montreal a little bit ago. I have family there, so we made it 3-day visit! All went well Friday morning. I passed the interview! Woo hoo! I work at 5 am tomorrow, so I'm gonna hit the sack, but can assure that I'll post my review hopefully tomorrow. I will say that I got there at 6:30 am and was first in line. The interviewer commented that it was 9:01 when we finished up and wished me a good day.

I do want to say - pay in cash! I over-heard another applicant at a different window who did the Scotia Bank deposit and she was asked to go to a bank to get money as they only accepted cash.

Night....I'll be back!

Must be nice......I get to fork out $800 at the interview, plus pay for a total of 6 flights, 5 days hotel and car rental, and then there's food, drink, etc....I'm scared to even go out and buy some new socks right now....

Well i am beyond stress now, called scotiabank and was told that the funds are taken out of my account, and cannot get them back.It has already cost me a small fortune to be here in montreal for 7 days, and really do not have the funds to pay another visa fee.If they do not accept the 2 deposit slips from scotiabank,i guess i will have to go back home without an interview.

I suggest just parking at Palais des congres de Montreal

It's max. $16, but especially if you're going to kick around a bit even for lunch, it's worth just parking somewhere and forgetting about metered parking.

Here's a map to show its location in relation to the consulate: map (parking at congress centre = P; consulate = flag)

If you stay at Le Dauphin you can park overnight (24 hrs) for $17 with their voucher.

Not cheap, but I just considered it one more expense, and didn't worry about it.
