My first two HPV shots in Canada hurt like crazy. My arm bruised and ached for about a week afterward. But I just had my last shot this past week and it didn't hurt very much at all. I'm not to sure what the difference was! The actual injection felt pretty much the same but it didn't bruise and only hurt for a day. Maybe they used a different needle? Apparently its the fluid that hurts and not the shot itself... at least that's what the nurse told me.

If you live near a Costco check there for the Gardisil. I know that in Ottawa their dispensing fee is only about $4, which is a lot cheaper than many places. I am pretty sure that you DO NOT need to be a costco member to use the pharmacy....(I doubt they get bulk discounts from the pharmacutical companies....lol)!!

yeah its the syrum thats stingy and hurts, not the needle itself. I had the same reaction to the first one, but I found the second one better, not sure if she changed where she shot a little? Still a bit sore but not too bad at all. One thing that definately helps me because I hate needles is taking 1 ibuprofen and 1 tylenol about 1/2 hour before I get shot. Lessens the pain right after and helps keep the swelling down...as long as you arent dumb like me and end up sleeping on your arm

I'm thinking of pumping up on some Advil beforehand... I know it's going to hurt like a b!tch, but I'd rather avoid as much as possible.

And maybe think really, really happy thoughts... Haha. Or try.

Decided to try scanning the barcode on my DS160 confirm page... It didn't work. So I gave in and redid the form.

Turns out that on the original one I sent in, I was silly and sent in my passport pic. Not the 2x2 one. So it had to be redone anyhow, heh.

How in the world did you scan in your barcode?

And maybe only they can bring up the file in their own computers.

I was able to scan the second code, after I reprinted.

Any barcode can be scanned. I simply put it through our POS at work. It doesn't link to any data, as that would be on their systems, but it still shows as a readable code.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to get cheap US style passport photos?

Walmart's are 14.99 for 2, and I'm not willing to pay that again.

I had got all the passport photos I needed all at once only to find out they have to be taken 6 months before the interview. I wish they didn't date stamp them :(

Mine aren't date stamped... that I'm aware of. But I got them done at CVS in July.

You can try cosco, I hear it's cheap there. You have to go with someone who has a membership tho.

My mom and dad have a membership, I'll have to ask them to take me but it's like 30 minutes away.

I think they'd just rather pay the difference in cost.

I got all of mine done again at Walmart - all six, oi - and he gave me 15% off. 'Course, stupid me, I forgot to tell him 2x2.. so I've got to cut them myself now.

But when he heard me ask for six, he asked if I wanted them all date stamped, and I said no to all. So they aren't.
